I do not want to read book 3. There is so many problems in this book that is only created because the maincharacter is stubborn, untrustworthy and secretive, I really don't like her character and then she wimpers because people keep her at a distance - go figure.
There was so many unanswered questions in this book and it became so frustrating. I can not imagine this series ending well, so I won't even bother listening to it. I can recommend the Four - series instead. It is so much more thought through and believeable.
Emma Galvin does a really great job voicing each character definitely going to look into more books she does voice over for. The story plot is definitely good enough for you to keep hearing chapters over chapters. if you like the hunger games series, Mortal Instruments, or Twilight sage definitely check this book out it doesn't have a strong trio romance like hunger games nor as much drama as twilight and not as surreal as mortal instrument but Divergent series journeys you into a plausible dark and griddy territory that walks you on the boarder lines of fantasy and actuality if you thought Tris went through the ringer in the first book wait till you finish this book!
I stopped reading the series because of the lazy writing in this book. Insurgent leans hard of interpersonal conflict between two character who have now spent more time fighting and hating each other than developing a bond worth the audience's emotional investment. Writing distrust between characters is fine, but when it becomes a common occurrence, especially in a book targeted to young adults, it implies that this is an interesting, if not desirable, aspect of adult relationships. It is not. And its not interesting to read over and over, either.
Emma Galvin has a very young gritty voice, which is great for Triss, but not so great for the voice of the adult male characters.
Insurgent definitely lived up to the height that I was expecting! Insurgent had a great story line which was confusing yet great. I will soon be reading Allegiant and I'm excited to see where Allegiant begins off of this book! 5 stars!
i liked the story line of the movie better. it seemed to flow more. it hit on all the important parts without changing it too much. the back amd forth with tris and tabias got kind of annoying after awhile. but I did enjoy it.
the author has such strong emotions you can tell that she's been through it already. amazing amazing amazing.
