The story was not too deep & the writing was a little immature (at first, I wondered if it was from the teenage section), but it was entertaining & easy to follow.
Reminiscent of the Blue Lagoon. Interesting to see how people must become innovative on a deserted island.
The reader spoke clearly, but didn't give enough hesitation between concepts. She had a cheerful, upbeat voice, but didn't change her tone well enough when reading something serious, sad or angry. You could easily tell who was speaking because it was announced at each new chapter.
This was the author's first book. A simple, entertaining story, not a work of art showing mature writing skills yet.
This is a wonderful book. The narrator has a pleasant voice, but just reads way to fast.. And when I try to slow it down in the audible app I get a very annoying echo.
Only if she slows down.
I was hoping for an adventure-type novel. This is NOT that kind of read. Romantic, sappy and predictable. The narrator's voice was also a bit annoying.
This is a sweet story with decent character & plot development. The narrator was just okay. There wasn't enough variation in the narration of each character. This made it a bit difficult to follow.
The book would work if it were in the young adult section but it wasn't. The storytelling is simple and predictable. The characters are boring.
The narrator was annoying. She sounded bubbly happy throughout the book which clashes with the plot more than once.
Blah would be my rating.
A Great listen and has me longing for another sweet love story
Gotta love TJ he knows what he wants
nope this is my first
Anna - just to listen to her tell her story
I love to multi-task with Audible!
This book started with a bang... that being said, it fizzled a little and became predictable. There were times where the situations were unrealistic but overall I did enjoy it. The ending wasn't quite what I expected but made more sense than what I had imagined.
I didn't really care for the narrator, she spoke like a young teenager while the female character was in her 30's and I found that annoying. I raised the speed to 1.25 and that made is somewhat better.
All in all it was a good "read"
This was a good story of romance and struggle. A few times I laughed out loud at some of the rediculous situations. The writing is simple and uncomplicated. I would think this was written for preteens, bar the sex scenes which seemed to be written by a 15-year-old boy. I really enjoyed the story and couldn't 'put it Down' but be warned that it is rediculous at times.
This is a good story. But the narrator kills this book. The narrator does not have the ability to differentiate characters through her voice... All characters sound the same. She also tells the entire story with a happy voice which does not fit the story or scenes in the book. She also runs sentences and paragraphs together without a proper pause between.
This narrator is simply awful and she ruins this book.
