I enjoyed the story but didn't understand why the characters had country southern accents. Also, I don't think that the narrator was the fit for this story as well as in book 1. The author should've chosen someone more compatible. Overall, great book!
The narrator is awesome. The sound effects I can do without. Part 1 was better. I really got to know the characters. This book was good also. It held my attention HOWEVER it ends horrible. Why would you end a book that way with so many unanswered questions. So may differentry scenarios were going on in this book but none solved. Definitely a cliff hanger and left me upset. lol
This is the 2nd book I've listened to by this author. I didn't think I would like the books but I'm about to purchase my 3rd book in this series. I'm really enjoying them.
The book wasn't as good as the first. There were too many reminders of what happened in the previous book. I understand you have to refresh memory, but you don't have to reiterate the same thing in every chapter. Sunny is too wild, with the lifestyle she longs for she's never going to truly change. Born never fails to disappoint. He always leaves when the chips are down, he's never there to help jada, but yet he wants to get married?! That's through thick and thin and he only loves when it's thick. I wish Sheldon would open his mouth and say what's going on so he can get the proper help with his foolish self.
I Love to listen to books more often than reading. Audible gets me through the day and night more especially when I'm working !
Drugs are so evil, I hate to see it destroy something good. I liked this listen it was a good follow up in this series. Very entertaining and funny at times. The characters are real and story kept my interest fully. I hope the third installment is just as good!
I would recommend it, but only because they may be a little lost if they only listen to Whitelines I and III
A bridge between Book 1 and 2 was good for the details, but not sure it was absolutely necessary. I did like the coverage of Sunny's background and story, but again not sure it was really relevant to Jada and Born's story...
She did a good job with the variety of voices and characters that she needed to portray, but I was confused as to why if these characters were based in NY and from NY why did some of them have 'country like' accents (i.e., Sunny, Born's Mother, Sunny's Father...)
Born...I can only conjure up an image of him in head, it would be nice to see him in person to see what the fuss is all about
