The characters in the book. The story line, makes you want to know more about them. Start with this one and you will be getting the rest of the series.
Say something about yourself!
No story line
Less sex more plot
She wasnt bad it was lack of story line for me
I didn't get past the first hour so I'm unsure
Didnt get past the first hour
I can forgive a lot in a book. I know I"m reading a fantasy about love, not a documentary. But the character's reactions and emotions in this book were so completely unbelievable I just couldn't get through it. Absolutely everything about the hero's behavior screamed serial killer, and she's attracted to him? His reactions to her were equally over the top and unrealistic. I gave up after about half an hour or so. It was just too awful to go on.
No complaints with Eva Kaminsky's performance. She did the best she could with the material she was given. the flaw here was completely with the story line.
There was no plot whatsoever to this story. It was a shallow story of lust and different ways to have sex. I won't be listening to this author again.
This was the first time I read/listened to a book by Bella Andre. I took a chance based on all the good reviews. I was so disappointed. I could barely find the story in the midst of all the sex scenes. I like reading happy romances and falling in love just as much as the next person. But this story was so improbable. The amount of sex that was had in 3 days. I'm not a prude but I didn't get a chance to like the main charachters. I speed through it to find out what happen with the ex. I'm sad I didn't do what I normally do and just try one book before I bought another in the series. The 5th book was on sale and based on the reviews I took a chance and bought it before the end of the sale. Now I don't see myself listening to it. I'm not sure the narrator helped things. She read so slowly that it dragged things along also. First time a review has failed me.
I ignore genre labels. Some of my favorite books are outside my genre comfort zone. Listening to audiobooks is still reading. Not theater.
Neh. I can't say anything to bad about this book. But I can't say anything too good about it either. The premise is unbelievable. You cannot build the main character into this icon of maleness who photographs beautiful models all over the world and is a really good guy to boot, then believe he falls in love at first site with a woman he sees on the side of the road, in the dark, looking bedraggled and beat up. And to that she is cold, reserved and depressed. What's not to love? There was no reason for him to fall in love with her gradually, much less the moment he came in contact with her.
Plus, the whole "I have a terrible, deep, dark secret that I can never confess, and I can never, ever tell you what led me to this point in my life, or why I am bruised and battered, but lets have sex" theme is just silly.
Mainly though, this was just a boring book. So boring I had no interest in finishing the book to learn what had happened to her to make her so dull and lifeless. I stopped about half way through. I won't finish it.
It took me 5 days to get this finished and I still had to stop it 10 minutes before it was done, I had enough. Badly written and boring.
As a mother of 4 you have a lot of laundry. Audible books made washing a whole lot nicer. Walking isn't as painful either.
I don't know. I'm a big fan of romance, however, they jumped into sex to soonand spoiled the rest for me. I didn't even finish. They needed to develop an deeper attraction or at least let one build.
Dove into the sex to soon. The attraction needed to build. Everything was to much to soon.
I like the narrator very much. She's the reason I hung in there until the middle. She wasn't my problem. The story was.
The masterbation scene first. The constant sex talk or thought second. Didn't let your own imagination marinate.
With all the great reviews of the sequels, I'm going to give the second a try but I hope they write a better story to go with the romance.
The narrator really made this book come to life. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Sullivans.
