I liked the book. but i liked the other books better.
Just to much lovey stuff
I like how she gets into the books.
I read the Title book and enjoyed the story, I can't continue with book two on audio. Will likely purchase the ebook. I totally enjoyed the female reader in Hunger Games, reading both genders. Must just be my taste.
This is almost porn. I realize that it is an international best seller. It is more like a Harlequin romance
The best I've listened to this year.
The development of the characters.
I have listened to this book x 2 now.
Yes. I't very dark and powerful. Many beginnings and endings!
Christian metamorphoses constantly.
Chose your shade....oh, the possibilities.......
Anastacia is a lovely name, but the narrator has a "nails on the chalkboard" habit of pronouncing it as anesthesia.
Stayed up an entire weekend listening to the trilogy! I enjoyed every second of it!
Only to find out it get worse and even more boring!
No, not impressed at all with this writer and those who praised this book!
No but story line could have been.
Disappointment and anger for the main character being truly naive.
This could have been much better as a listening experience if the narrator hadn't chosen, or been told to lower her voice for the part of Christian Grey. I almost started laughing when I first heard it. I am still trying to get through it without wincing
Yes I would but with a different narrator.
Becca's voice is great as Ana, but maybe they should have had a man do Christian's part or just use her regular voice.
Listen to the excellent narration of The House at Riverton. Even though the narrator is British, she does many different voices for the different characters. She never lowers her voice for a man's character. It just seems silly to do so.
Yes, the story was great
Anyone but her, she is AWFUL!! the worst I have ever heard to date.. Needs a man and a woman, just not this woman PLEASE~ Women narrators should not try to do the male character by trying to make their voice deeper, its pathetic..! TY
Sheldons gf, Amy from Big Bang Theory, And George Clooney.. :)
Just change the narrator please.
Yes I would recommend this book to a friend. It is a love story, and psychologically challenging to my mind trying to understand the deeper meaning. Personally, I could do without all the explicit sex scenes, meaning sometimes less is more, but I could see how other would enjoy it. I enjoy the story of the relationship more. I also enjoy both Grey and Steeles characters.
I did have an extreme reaction to the first book, because I have been in a past relationship with a person who was extremely controlling and jealous, and although it is enticing at first when you are falling in love, it is not pretty in the long run. Just saying!
