I really loved how the characters interacted, and for that reason I do not have a favorite character.
Love the narrator, but her male voices are comical. Was very satisfying to see the story arc
Anastasia getting in Mrs Robinson's face
See...?? Christian is not as f**ked up as you thought
To all those who hated the book and/or narration, please; get over your bad selves. This is a mindless summer read for goodness sake, not Proust. Agreed, you could start a new drinking game based on the limited vocabulary; take a shot every time Becca Battoe says " oh my", "hooded eyes", "prickling scalp", or "my sex". EVERY person I know who has read this book has seen significant "fringe benefits".
Oh this series is getting better and better, Darker was even better than Grey, that must mean that Freed is going to be off the chart fantastic!!!
The love story of how protective Christian was of Anna.
Christian, of course! Sexy, protective, mysterious and sexy!!!
Oh yes. I loved her voice for each different character.
My Happy Ever After
Didn't read it.
Anna of course! She's THE perfect person for 'fifty'.
I'm not crazy about her male voices, but give her credit for doing so many of them well. I do like her voice as it brings Anna's character to life. I would like to hear other books by Ms. Battoe.
I have to say I did have an extreme reaction. I'm surprised I got past the first book since 'erotica' isn't what I choose to read. However, the story is so compelling it turned into the best book I've 'heard' in a very long time.
It definitely lives up to the hype!
There is never enough time for great books! I love the ones that suck you in from the first minutes but I have also learned to love the ones that take a little longer to warm up to.
I couldn't believe how book 1 ended.....so much of a cliffhanger I stopped at the next McDonalds to download book 2. And book 3.....wow, suspense and satisfaction of the story but like so many of my friends that have also read the books, now I'm on Fifty Shades withdrawal. While I may never find my "Christian" and I will never be as beautiful as Anna, this was "the" best story I have read in a real long time. The story is more about relationship development than sex....but oh was it tantalizing sex. In a lot of ways, it's a familiar story but E L James puts enough fresh stuff in it that it leaves you on the edge of your seat, always wanting more.
As for the movie I hear they're considering....I don't see how it could even compare to the book in many ways, but yes, I'd go see it.
Kate - I can really relate to her "rebel" nature and her thirst for answers...yet her shy/unsure and caring nature.
This was the first one.
I laughed a lot. I loved Kate's "inner goddess" the most! She was a hoot!
I really debated on stopping after the first book because I was so mad at Christian and I had read so many negative reviews. I am so glad I didn't listen. Darker and Freed are so good and the story ends so well. So for all of you thinking about stopping after book one, please reconsider, you will be glad you did. I am sad that they are over. Enjoy
I would but I don't have time to reread books. I would rather read a new book!
I love to see their romance grow and how they overcome obstacles together! It gives me butterflies in my stomach remembering how it is to be young and in love.
It is interesting to hear her try to make each character have its own voice.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Yes, I Do!!!!
Fifty!! He is just simply amazing... He is sooo in love with Ana and don't even know it... OMG! He just don't know what do. He is soooo passionate about Ana, and soooo controlling, plus I even love when he is so angry he damn near go insane... He really is 50 shades... *He is the best character I have ever read about... LOVED IT!!
Listen to Fifty Shades of Grey!! She was awesome...
Paging Dr. Flinn; My Fifty; no no... I got it...
* Ben and Jerry's and Ana* Loved it!!!
wait... no... "Holy F--K!" or even "Bit*h Troll!"
Sexy, Romantic, Dark
YES, sadly I did not have that big of a block of time.
This is a great continuation of the Fifty Shades of Grey. I just loved it. Wanted to just sit and listen to this book any time I had a few extra minutes.
