Addictive story, alllllllllllllllllllot of sex, but you need to keep reading to hear whats going to happen to these two very different characters.
I love it. It reminds me a bit of Twilight series with the added sex.
This book was not well written for all its hype.
I do not usually read books that have such explicit material in them. I am wondering what sort of world we live in that such a book can become a best seller. No, I am not a prude or a religious fanatic.
The narrator's voice was very grating and probably added to my overall distaste of the book.
If there is anyone left in the world that HASNT read it already, I would tell them its not deserving of the hype.
Not that shocking, not that saucy, and just not that interesting. This book reminds me that 21yo girls are very annoying, and plays on the delusion that emotionally broken men should be "fixed". The main character is far to nieve for a girl in her early 20s in America. It makes it very unbelievable, and a little frustrating. The constant reference to her "inner goddess" becomes wearing, and her tanties, games, and total immaturity as she learns to deal with men and sex makes me VERY glad to be past my teen and 20's years.
I was encouraged to read this series, with promises of it being shocking and eye-openning to the world of BDSM, but this was lightly brushed over with a Mills-and-Boon-for-the-modern-day gloss. Not all together surprising, for the masses to soak up, but certainly nothing new, or even very licentious. Im sure they had to keep within some legal limits of publishing, or maybe the writer is just very nieve too.
Its not altogether a waste of time, as far as an erotic/love story, its readable, and contains lots of sex, but so do many other NON best sellers.
I was was also promised the series improves, but half way through the second book, im not sure i will continue.
Im sure the movie will totally re-write the script, so we'll see if its something more interesting.
It was like I imagine Mills & Boon with some sex
Generally I wouldn't consider the genre at all
Because of the poor writing the performance had no chance
All of them
I am amazed at this book's popularity. I listened after the great Potato Factory and it was just hogwash. I couldn't even finish book 2.
Not necessarily books of this genre but definitely any books written by this author or narrated by Becca Battoe.
perhaps with a different narrator
I got sucked in by the hype of this book, I wish I hadn't bothered
love listening to books vampire romance books
i enjoyed the story, there is not many stories out there like this and Becca Battoe was a delight to listen i could not wait to listen to the next book
Let me preface this by saying that I have listened to and read many unashamedly rubbish rom-coms, light fiction and chick-lit and appreciated them for what they were. However, this book is utterly terrible. It is poorly written, repetitive and the characters are unbelievable. I have only managed to listen to about an hour of it. Don't be fooled by the hype. I would like my credit back.
A good book would have made all the world of difference. This was bad literature with a bad story.
Something much better written
It wasn't her, it was the book.
Don't understand what everyone thinks is so great about this book, it was really bad.
It was something different and light entertainment but a little repetitive.
She was quite good but perhaps a male voice for Christian would have been better
It was entertaining enough - a bit of a laugh - nudge, nudge, wink, wink
