I don’t have a favorite in this series. I love Avery and Ryder (Can’t wait for Book#3!!!) but I don’t and can’t pick a favorite.
New Years Eve party (Can’t wait for Book#3!!!) and breakfast at Moms...
Can’t wait for Book#3!!! I loved that Avery got 'her share' but I can't wait for 'The Perfect Hope'. O and A were so meant to be that this book felt so natural. But book 3... Will surprise you if you let it.
I loved this series ....... How long do I have to wait for the final book. Can't wait to see who Ry hooks up with. I love this character. Please don't make me wait too long.
I can't rate the story because I didn't listen to it. The narrator was so terrible it distracted me from the story and I couldn't pay attention. I was so annoyed as I paid for the credit and the more I tried to pay attention the more annoyed I got. I wasn't going to spend another $9.99 for the ebook and it was my fault for not sampling the narrator like I usually do.
I finally found the book at my local library and put a hold on it. I had read the first book and I know I will like the story so ignore the 1 star for the story. But it wouldn't allow me to leave a review without putting something down. Why do these publishers or authors allow books to be read by narrators that don't do their books justice? I just don't understand.
I reall enjoy Nora's book and think that this is a great story. It isn't as intense as some of her books but it has a fun light hearted feel that will make you smile!!! Macleod Andrews has a soothing voice and although it takes alittle bit to get use to his female voices I think is voice is great!!
I haven't listened to this type of novel narrated by a male narrator who got the female roles right yet. I had a hard time telling who was talking. That doesn't happen with female narrators. I love Nora Roberts but the male narrator ruined it for me.
I loved this book for the humor as much as the romance. I liked the pace for the most part that Owen and Avery took their relationship - making sure to not mess up their friendship in the process. I absolutely loved when Owen went to his mom's for breakfast. Hysterical!!! You begin to understand Lizzy and her character better as well. She starts to become more 3 dimensional (if that is possible for a ghost) and really adds to the story. Even the misunderstandings between Owen and Avery are realistic. I have truly enjoyed this series as much as the Bride/Vow series that Roberts just finished. Vows left me hungry for more and this one has done a really good job of filling that gap. I loved being able to go online and see the real Inn Boonsboro while listening to get a complete picture of the descriptions of the book. That story is an interesting read too.
Tell us about yourself! I love to read. I read two to three books a week. My favorite authors are Kim Harrison and Stephenie Meyer.
I think it ranks very good. I would put in the top 80%.
I still like Clair. Her kids are so funny. Avery is good to.
I didn't have a problem with the narrato. I think he is best with men and children.
I think I laughed and almost cried. The part that almost made me cry was when Avrey's mom came back. I know how she feels.
I loved the book. I can't wait for the third one. I'm going to buy this book for my aunt.
A different narrator - a woman preferably.
Love the characters in this series
A woman!!! Seriously, really hated the narration. Pretty much ruined the whole story for me. Gonna have to go find the hard copy to get it straight. Yuck.
Please don't use the same narrator for Book #3!
I didn't read the print version, so I really couldn't say ~ I love reading, so I'm going to say they are just different experiences. I started listening to audio books because of lack of read time ~ and while I love them and enjoy the narration, I still love nothing better than to snuggle up w/ a good book!
When Avery breaks down and tells Owen about her mother coming to visit her ~ and how much she fears she's like her. It's a very emotional scene, and turns a corner in their romance
He did a great job w/ the narration ~ I loved how he did all the brothers voices, and Clare and Becketts kids.
It made me laugh out loud SO many times ~ it was a fun book to listen to. Avery and Owen are both cute and sweet and so up front about what they think w/ everyone but each other it was great. And I LOVED how Owen and his brothers react to their Mother Justine ~ makes me laugh every time. They're grown men, yet w/ a look or work their Mom can bring them to heel. I LOVED it! And I loved that we got to spend the holidays w/ the whole group of them ~ it was fun.
I didn't NOT like book 1 in this series, but I very much felt like it was more about the Inn and Clare and Beckett's story was just a little side line. It was enjoyable to find the all that stuff out about Boonesboro, as I've ALWAYS wanted to go to TTP and The INN, but didn't really want to get THAT much info overload in my romance. I would have rated the 1st book a solid 3 ~ THIS book? Total 5. It was full of laughter, and not just an awesome romance between two great friends who become lovers, but relationships ~ Justine w/ her boys, Avery w/ her Dad, Avery w/ Clare and Hope, Owen and his brothers...it was about the PEOPLE. I should mention the ghost IS still around ~ I like her and think she adds to the story, and in this book they get closer to finding out why she's still there at the INN.
Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who just loves a good small town romance, a friends to lovers romance, or a Nora ~ it's perfection on all three levels!
If they were looking for something light and entertaining I would, it's an easy listen and entertaining.
I've read many from Nora Roberts and will read more in the future.
I thought he did a good job, have no idea what all the complaints are about, he has a nice relaxed voice and does male characters especially well, not so great on female but not enought to distract you from the story.
Sometimes you just want something light and entertaining and this book is just that, the characters are likeable and the story flows well. No its not a literary masterpiece but a light romantic story that takes you away for a while.
