This one is cute. Herbie gets some of the Barrington family financial and professional good luck.
As I've only listened to Stone Barrington novels, I would have to rate this one as one of the better books I've heard.
My favorite part of this book is moving Herbie to Herb and all that is implied with that. I like that Herb is now a successful attorney and am intrigued by the not-so-sutble hint that Herb may be the new Stone Barrington. A spin-off in the future perhaps? I've always liked Herbie, even when he was a, what did Dino call him? I better not use that kind of language! I'm curious as to what Stuart is going to do with Stone now that he is a partner at W&W. I don't know where he can go with that.
Dino. I love Tony's rendition of Dino's voice.
I've read or listened to every Stone Barrington book up until this one, but I might have to reconsider in the future. The story is slow, with no real action. Stone seems like a minor character. Too many scenes feel like the narrative is drawn from an instruction manual or a lecture.
Tony Roberts was the only redeeming point, doing his always great job with Stone, Dino and the others.
On the fence.
I can listen as I drive to and from work, giving me the opportunity to utilize this "down tine."
Barrington. He seems to fall into manure, but keeps coming up smelling like roses.
I drive I listen!
I have read all the Stone Barrington books and I am hooked! This is the bestbecause of the growth of Herbie into a fine lawyer, dresser and good guy!! He inspires even me. The reader read in a way that had me cheering, laughing and gripping the seat!! It shows what happens when a slacker has a role model that helpshim become a better person, lawyer. And excellent dresser.I can already see a spin off of Herbieand his team!! I truly enjoyed this book
A great actor, he does a great job playing all of the parts.
No, it does not seem to carry on like the other Stuart Woods books.
I enjoy listening to the books and appreciate the readers adding so much charisma to it all.
I recommend audible books to others so they can multi-task. Not everyone has the same thoughts as I do.
Love a good book and great wine!
Probably, I love to listen to Tony read Stone Barrington novels.
Stone and Dino
Everything, even when I read a Stone Barrington novel I hear Tony's voice.
The end when dad did what he did.
Used to enjoy the Stone series. The dialog between Stone and Dino was always great, stories good. Now the characters and just boring and talk very "old fashion". Are these last two books written by Stuart Woods? Really, Herbie completely turns his life around becomes a great lawyer? Opps sorry if I gave away the story.
You were always trying to predict the next story line but were always surprised
Yes the constant changing of story lines to different people involved
When Herbby used better judgment than I every expected
