Avid Zombie Fiction listener!!! Bring on the living dead.
Yes yes yes yes and again yes!!! Listen to this series you will not be disappointed.
" I have my mind... & a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." -T.L.
I love Mike Talbot's adventures, from Indian Hill to these books, the dry humor & relatively funny situations but Zombie books are in no short supply & in truth, the only thing that really makes this series a lil'better is the narrator & MT... But its starting to get a bit old, not sure where Tufo is going to take this, I've read up to book 5, & I have not look to jump into book 6 because the series is still just about Zombies & fighting them with a little bit of 'magic' like abilities, but as a reader of Sanderson, Weber, Ambercrombie, etc... the story undertones are not that thrilling or new, even the jokes are not so funny any more, its a lot of sarcasm & some funny situations that are avoided or lived thru
I'm sorry I can only give the rest of the series mild to moderate stars because it is only semi-interesting, I'll probably finish all 6 just for the fun, maybe but I'm not sure when I'll finish the 6th book, I don't take anything away from Tufo & def don't take away from Sean... but Zombie books get reeeeeeeeel broing after awhile
Mark Tufo's writing style draws you in and hooks you from the start. The characters are 'real', aside from the zombies of course, and I think that's what sets his stories apart from the rest. He has created a relatable set of characters that will make you laugh, gag and sometimes cry.
The book is not over. This is so irritating. It is just as good as the last two, but apparently I have one more to go. I hope.
I am loving the twists and turns that this series takes, above and beyond the typical zombie stories. The off-beat, sometimes lame humor has become a welcome part of the story as we hear the ramblings of Michael Talbot's mind.
Michael's wife Tracy and his big friend B.T. have been added to my list of favorite characters in this series.
Yes! Each book in this series just gets better. It holds my interest. The characters are interesting and you really start to love them.
Still Mike and BT
I love this narraters voice and he does various voices really well.
Never have time to listen all at once, but listen in car to and from work until finished.
Yes, great narration and storyline.
His voices and inflection are fantastic.
Yes, but given its length, not really possible.
I loved that even through all the pain and heartache of this book it never loses its sense of humor. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. That is not something you can say very often about a book (even more so a zoombie book).
That is a tie between Tommy and Mr. T. Because how can you not love Tommy. As for Mike who doesn't love a sarcastic twit
He always does a good job
Yes just like the last ones I couldn't stop listening. (which does not work out well when you have to be up at 5:30 for work)
This series is quickly becoming my all time favorite. I keep telling everyone I know about it.
I've replaced my HD TV with the Audible app.
Talbot and BT
BT really starts to come into his own in this installment
The introduction of Pork Chop was full of chuckles and original Talbotisims.
Yes it is and pretty easy to do.
The introduction to the different plains of existance come through and prepare the reader for things yet to come.
Great book Mark Tufo has a unique writing stile mixed with sarcasm and humor. The charactors came alive with the narration and you could see these charactors as real people possibly friends that we all have and as able to paint a dark and scary picture of the world to come in this book. Really enjoyed it
