What did you love best about The End?

Mike Talbot and his beleaguered family and friends continue their fight to survive evil incarnate... Eliza the ancient vampire, her global undead army and her brother Tomas... Tomas's true intentions were unknown since Eliza captured and turned him fully into a vampire.
Sean Runnette gives a great performance as usual, adding to the character depth, bringing the story to life in your mind.

    "Not a Horror Fan, But..."

I started watching the Walking Dead on TV, and found it extremely compelling. So much so I started looking to see what Zombie books I might find interesting.

The Zombie Fallout books are really, really good. There are a couple of continuity issues early on that are easily forgivable considering the quality of the characters, the action, suspense, and everything else a good Zombie book should be.

The narration is also top-notch. The characters all have distinctive voices, in addition to personalities, and it’s very easy to follow.

The only problem is (as of this writing), it’s not finished!

Finish it, Mark. I need to know what happens next!

Where does The End rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The tippy top! Mark Tufo's writing is firstly beautiful as it is funny. If I had known how much I would get stolen by the story of Mike Talbot. I would of taken the books slower and eek out a little more time in the magic of it all. Sean Runnette and Mark Tufo are a boss tag team.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The End?

When Mike Learns BT's real name. That always makes me belly laugh.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Every freakin' bit. I'd be in his fan club gettin' the secret decoder ring if that were possible.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Of course the book made me laugh. Anyone who doesn't has no soul! Sad at some parts, Equally disgusted in some parts. But when I first listened to the book. I felt the foreboding as they walked out on the ice. Knowing something was going to happen, but not sure what.

    Any additional comments?

I haven't been this in love with an author since I discovered Christopher Moore. Mark Tufo is on my collectors edition author MVP card...Look at dem stats son!

"Can't help it . .I like these books"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

    Yes. I laugh out loud.

What did you like best about this story?

The story, though actually disgusting in many ways, is written in a way . .and then read in a way . .that is just too funny!

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favorite?

I love the main character and BT together . .

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes.

    Any additional comments?

This narrator is perfect for this story. Kudos.

    "Still Good Even Better"

The Talbot family and zombie battle is still good, no…. great! First, if you have not read the first 3 books, Stop and do that now to really appreciate the relationships between the characters. Sarcastic, sardonic, smelly and even serious at time (as serious as you can be sitting in zombie brains) the journey Mike takes his family to find his siblings is zombietastic. Zombie brains is zombie brains in any book. The characters are colorful with great dialogue and people that you would enjoy knowing.

"The Plot Thickens in another great installment!"

I am hooked on Tufo's Zombie series. Somehow he keeps adding new and interesting developments into the story line while keeping the characters and action consistently entertaining. He writes the characters like he himself has lived through just such an apocalypse! You must read the previous books in order to get full enjoyment from the story though. This book had a very open ending so I just knew (and hoped) there would be another book in the series....and there was! This is not just a series for diehard zombie apocalypse fiction readers, but for anyone who wants to fall in love with the characters and hear a wonderfully engrossing story. Suspense, hope, dismay, anger, and above all, humor....Tufo elicits it all through his writing. The humor in this series is some of the best I've ever read in this genre. Bravo!

"I really thought this was the End..."

when i started this book i was really bummed because i thought it was the end. haha. But when i got to the end there was not end really and i was really confused. so i found the next book and started listening and was very relieved!

Tommy/Tomas!!!! what is going on with him! does he really hear/see Ryan Seacrest? i have a lot of questions about why he was working at the Walmart in the first place? was he keeping track of Justin? I hope we find out more about why he chose the Talbots. Book 3.5 doesn't answer all of my questions because it doesn't really tell you why he picked them in that book either. i do recommend Book 3.5. it helps a little with some of the why's but not all of them.

    "NOT THE END!!!!"

While this book was not as good as the first, it was still entertaining and kept me listening. The series starts out great for me as a zombie fan, but I wish the author would have stuck to zombies. As if zombies are not enough, the author decides to add in other fictional monsters, and it takes away from the book some what in my opinion. Still, its entertaining as I said and I enjoyed listening. I really like the humor and sarcasm of the main character. If you are looking for a literary bliss, and award winning writing, you should look a little further. If you are just looking for something to listen to, and be entertained, this is a good choice.

"MARK TUFO RULES! HIS ZOMBIE BOOKS ARE BRILLIANT!!"
Would you listen to The End again? Why?

    ABSOLUTELY!!! THIS SERIES IS INCREDABLE!!!
LISTENING TO THE ENTIRE 4 BOOK SET IS A MUST!!

Mark Tufo has probably written the best Zombie book series I've ever listened too. WHY? Because his uncanny knack to combine his journal humor and the horror of what could happen to a family when a world wide disaster comes knocking is superb. The humor is genuinely funny. I was laughing out loud one minute and then, within a few sentences, I was sucked back into his tence, hair-raising, and genuinely scary end of the world novels. The combination of humor, and a father's genuine nerve racking concern to save his family is BRILLIANT MANY TIMES OVER!!!

What did you like best about this story?

The dark and twisted humor of the main charecter wrapped and intertwined with a zombie apocalypse is a uniquely brilliant idea. MARC TUFO is a terrific novelist. Anyone who loves zombiepocalypse novels will love the writings of MARC TUFO. Just be prepared to experience the horror and the humor of the Talbot clan. Wherever their path takes them. It's a series of books I will be eager to listen too over and over. BRILLIANT!!!!!

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You would never experience the subtle and not so subtle sense of humor woven into the Marc Tufo zombie experience. Don't get me wrong, the books are hair-raising. However, there is something truely wonderful and unique about an audible presentation of a good novel. It's exciting to be able to experience literature again. It is very sad when vision problems stopped any reading of the written word. But now, I can't get enough. Finding the Marc Tufo series was an awesome treat.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    ABSOTUTELY!!!!!!!!!

    Any additional comments?

The narrator is wonderful and is fully able to, in my opinion, to bring the Marc Tufo series to life. Listening to this superb narrator is a unique treat that doesn't come around to often.
Take advantage of listening to this superb book series. You will not be disappointed.
