I've tried to read the book several times. I kept getting to the place that was too close to home and I'd close the book. I can listen to Bishop talk all day and that's just what i did...
I am truly grateful for this spirit truth filled masterpiece. I am on my third reading, finding pearl's to dive for as quoted by Bishop Jakes.
Learning to understand forgiveness as the Lord has taught and to "Let it Go" as the author illustrates so well, quoting eternal scriptures with sober thoughts and practical lessons. This book has brought a renewed future of hope and faith to the uneven times of my life and today's challenges. Thank you.
I loved this book, it changed my thinking completely. After reading it I look forward to a more complete, more rewarding life.
Forgiveness is freedom
In all things gain understanding. It is hard to hate someone you understand.
No. I would recommend sitting with each chapter for a while and actually doing what is recommended.
I'm glad TD Jakes read it himself. As a pastor/bishop and motivational speaker it makes more sense for him to read his audiobooks himself. I hate to hear his words from someone else's mouth.
I have recently loss my Mother (Pearl) and have experienced unbelievable betrayal and heart ache over the frivolous and manipulative behavior of my younger siblings due to "things". I have been so consumed with settling Mom's estate and caring the burden of trying to keep a family together that doesn't care if we are or aren't together that I forgot to appreciate the people that have been there for me. This message was written for me. Thank you Bishop great book.
