This book was amazing. I loved the plot and the twist at the end. The whole time I was thinking Josie was going to be next and then it totally flipped the story making her the killer.
another good one that I would recommend to friends. not the best but good. similar story line to others.
Engaging characters. Excellent narration. Good story with a typical-of-the-genre plot, but compelling mystery. The audible version is excellent with listening time about 14 hours. It goes fast, even with the slow, southern cadence of the voices. It's an older book so some things are a little dated but nothing that detracts from the enjoyment of the story.
Carnal innocence is slightly out of our time frame but it is a good story having been written in the 90s. The best thing about this story is that you will not guess who the perpetrator is. It's a great twist. The narrator needs some work on his southern accent but overall a good listen.
Love Nora Roberts. Her stories are always complex and well written. They keep the reader interested, entertained and anxious to see how the story will end. The characters are also very well written and draw the reader in. This one is a particularly good one.
Nora Roberts has done it again. Left me sitting in my driveway listening to next suspenseful chapter. The narrations are wonderful and help to project the suspense
The story is set in the south and full of all of those Rich historical southern cultural issues and beauties. Listening to somebody deliver the racial ugliness with strong accents and ugliness was actually kind of frightening and disturbing I'm not sure I like to listening to that part but maybe that's what made the book so good
