Nora Roberts has out done herself, I always knew she was a great author, but this book kept me on the end of my seat...... The narrater was great and easy to listen too.... 5 Stars!!!! The ending was a surprize, but it was also great to know the two main characters were going to stay together... I look forward to Ms Roberts next book!!! Thank you Nora for your wonderful insight to romance.......
This book was like a terrible accident that I couldn't take my eyes away. I didn't like what I was seeing but I couldn't look away. A bit gruesome for me.
Mind boggling fun
Tucker was full of surprise
The title fits
This was a great mystery until the end
This isn't the type of book I normally listen to. After the first chapter I sucked right in to the back waters of Mississippi. The characters came to life for me and I found myself thinking about them while I wasn't listening to the book. I hope that anyone listening to this book enjoys it as much as I did. Its a thrilling old fashion murder mystery.
It's probably in the top 10
I liked when Caroline came into the library and discovered there was more to Tucker than she'd first thought.
I love love love Tucker's voice. It's entirely possible it's the sexiest voice I've ever heard.
Tucker, partly just to listen to him talk, and partly because of his easy-going intelligence.
My second Nora Roberts listen. Even though I had figured out who the killer was, I'm a fan.
It held my interest, narrator was fine. Great book, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
No, I never listen/ read a book more than once. I already know the ending
When she played the violin for herself.
I love to laugh, enjoy good mysteries, & get my adventures vicariously through stories :-)
The story was great but the narrator really brought these characters to life. This audio made me want to see a movie version of this story.
Anytime Tucker spoke, it was pretty memorable. Honestly, though, there were too many to choose just one.
His overall delivery. He effortlessly brought a distinct "voice" to each character.
Characters and story length
Tucker - he was flawed enough to be interesting, but still a good person
Strong male characters - females can sound whiny at times, though
Prepare to be surprised
Yes....and ....No! I loved the story line....and it kept my interest.....but I got really tired of listening to the foul language and the crude sexual references...by both the men and women. The sexual theme was a bit overdone and the language was offensive and tediuos.
Tucker and Caroline, were my favorite.....but Cousin Lulu was a hoot too!
Yes! Avoid small towns in Mississippi. Ha ha!
Nora Roberts could write a lot better stories ...without all the foul language and crudity....in my opinion. I like her books....but I prefer to read books that are colorful.....but less crude.
