Yes and I already have recommended it to 4 people who have started reading it.
How captivating it was. I'm normally not a reader of books or novels, but this one blew me away!
Oh yes, each and every one of the moments that the author, in detail, described the love making. It made me feel the same inside.
I was a little disappointed that I couldn't read along while she (the audio) read and the fact that I couldn't speed up the reading. I feel that being able to read along with the audio gives a person a better perspective on the subjects and overall picture/story of the book.
I think there was a lot of potential with this story. I'm not quite sure if it is the actual story line that I am not happy with, or the authors writing. I know I dont like the choice of narrators (before or after the rerelease). I realize that Anna is supposed to be young, but she is 21 for crying out loud not 15, and the auther makes her sound like she is 15! It did capture my attention and I will finish the series, but I think the author has some growing to do with her style.
Very good.. I listne in my car... It's tough for me to get out of it these days..
It is well read.. although i do wish the author could use another word once in a while besides "sardonically" over and over..
no I haven't..
I love this book.. it brings out all kinds of emotions. being a Dominant woman, i can certainly relate.
Although the enticement of this trilogy is the sometimes eye opening or eye closing sex scenes it has much more to offer. If you focus on the story you???ll find it disturbing, sad, emotional, loving, etc. This is the kind of book that wakes all of your emotions and brings you on a fabulous ride into the unknown and forbidden. It is worth reading all three ??? 50 Shades is an apt name and it doesn???t disappoint.
Kate because she doesn't take crap from anyone.
I don't understand all the negativity in regard to the narrator, I thought she did a splendid job and I look forward to hearing her voice again in the rest of the trilogy.
I did not read the print version...
Something by Victor McGlothin
The reader made it easy to follow along with her and her voice was easy to listen to... I HATED the emails; I cringed everytime they started with the back and forth.
Yes. I was moved by Anastasia's poetic love for Christian in spite of his issues... She was opened to loving him and was forgiving of herself for doing so.
I'm not a romance novel kind of girl. This book did have a little drama and a smidge of suspense to keep me intersted so it was not as sappy as most novels of its kind. I'm almost curious enough to read the other two installations but not quite... It was not a bad story, just not for me. Those who are romantics will fall in love with this book and undoubtly the series.
Awesome book. I couldn't stop listening! It could have used a few more juicy sceens but it was a great book.
I always listen to books from audible on 2X because I think they read too slow and I like to get through books fast --- So as long as I have that option to speed them up they are fine. I wouldn't be able to listen at regular speed though no.
Extream reaction yes. laugh or cry no.
Her voice was breathy, her tone was whiny and her performance sounded forced.
I can't forgive the poor quality of writing present in this book. It was derivative at best and excruciating at worst. The subject matter could have been interesting, but instead was rendered into a cliche of the most tedious nature.
This was our book club's "alternative" book choice for this month. Loved, loved, loved it!
We have read every genre of book. Reminds me of the Diana Gabaldon series - Nora Roberts 4 brides stories & more. Loved the narration. Not all narrators can read both female & male voices equally well - Becca Battoe was perfect!
Long commutes=LOTS of listening. Thanks Audbile!
Sensual and Exquisite
Christian- Very sexy character
Despite all the negative reviews as a the reader, I thought she was wonderful. She sounds young and as I would expect Ana to be.
