I loved the end.
Her depth of feeling and ability to make you hear the feeling and anguish of the characters.
The Hospital, when Christian was so worried about the baby and her realizing that he did truly care.
I truly hope there is going to be a 4th!
Erotic, juicy, detailed
The ending where I kept thinking really, this is how it ends. Made me start the second book immediately
I wasn't fond of her style initially. She eventually grew on me. She reminded me of a valley girl-esque style, but later one I figured it mirrored the college aged tone as well.
It made me..... to hot to handle this one.
Read it. So many thoughts about the first book, but really it comes down to wanting to find my own Christian. Can't wait for this to be made into a movie, but afraid it's going to be too tame which destroys the integrity of the book and the emotion it envokes
I love to read, but I can never find the time. Audible allows me to "read" while I'm doing other things.
It wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
you never new what was going to happen next
Love scenes & all of S & M isn't bad
Christian, he is so suave, charming, bad, good, controlled, and helpless when it comes to Anna.
When he showed up at the bar to rescue Anna.
Yes, could hardly perform daily chores, wanted/needed to read.
Waiting for next series or continuation of 50 Shades.
No one should enjoy this book It is about dominance of women!! disgusting
all of them
do not read
In LOVE w/audiobooks. I find myself counting down the days untill my credits arrive. Married w/kids. Dental Hygienist
I know everyone is complaining about the narrator but I enjoyed her. Especially funny when she would shout the Argh sound. lol. Good series, sometimes a bit much sex but a good story behind it.
If the narrator actually participated in the book, such as change of voice when doing male vs female, and scene changes. Every time I listen to this book I found myself falling asleep. I thought it was just me, but after 3 different people tried we all agree that it was the narrator.
I have listened to hundreds of audio books and this was, by far, the worst narrator I have ever heard. It was a struggle to get through the book, not because of the story but because of the truly awful, mind numbing, overall idiotic performance. The story was ok but the author could have used a bit more imagination in her descriptions. The word "belly" was probably used more than 100 times in the book and started to become pretty annoying. Anytime the main character became aroused, anxious or scared, I knew the word would be used. Not one of my favorite books and I probably would not recommend this to a friend, at least not in audio format.
While the "Fifty" series is a great get away from it read, I'm baffled by the choice of narrator. Without offense meant to Ms. Battoe, who is a talented audible performer, I was SO DISAPPOINTED in this narrator for the Fifty series. Anastasia IS a college grad aged gal, an maybe that's why the "younger" sounding choice for Becca Battoe, but it simply didn't work for me. I skipped the "audible" version of the final book, opting to read it myself. Sorry Audible, you missed the mark on this one, in my humble opinion.
Since I listen in the car, it's time OK spent.
None...it's in a league of it's own
Absolutely not! The reading is AWFUL. Dreadful. Slow.. bad....just bad...
I have to admit, I do want to go on to learn more about Christian and Anastasia. Unbelievably, I am interested in the next book. I did buy the Kindle version, though...no way could I stand another audio version!
This series is getting a lot of hype, so I decided to check it out. It's not all that and a bag of chips. I can't imagine this 'spicing up my marriage' - but my marriage is already great. I can't understand that viewpoint, though. The book is OK. The writing is bad. Very obviously a first book by someone who THINKS they're an author. It's not good. Obvious that she's thrown words in just because she thinks they'll sound good. Doesn't flow. It's bad. But, I have to admit, she did something right, because I want to know what happens in the next book. The writing is very elementary (aside from the subject matter of course), but the story is overall OK. Maybe it's like a train wreck, I have to look....
