I heard how popular this book was, but no specifics. I was dumbfounded to hear that this book was soft porn. I will not purchase other books in this series. Also why didn't the editor cut out all the heading and closing for all the email. How redundent.
It was hard some times to distiguish between voices. I also imagined Christians voice to. be much more manly.
That Ana could not resist Christian and all for the right reasons and still remains her own person.
Ana ~ she seems to be a real person with her head screwed on straight. She has an open mind and willing to try anything for Christian, though she does have her limits.
No, but will in the future.
This book is a must read for open minded individuals that want drama, excitement, comedy, raw sex and just plain romance. It will make you feel what the characters are feeling. The story will make you look at yourself and how many shades you are.
I am not sure how I feel about all of the complete email addresses and times, but loved the signatures. Men and women alike will enjoy this read/listen.
The entire story line
When Christian finally realized he loved Anastasia
The way she emphasized the characters reactions
yes! I will listen and read along with Becca many many times over!
Love my audible books!
it gave me something to do on my lunch breaks... better than staring at a wall.
currently listening to Hunger Games... much better story believe it or not is more believable than this story and more fun to listen to.
decent bad material
there are two follow up that are more than enough. No more please.
I've been a romance novel reader since I was 20, There were a few parts that were steamy and kinda new but it got old quick and the character Christian went from a strong dominant male to a whiny, and pathetic figure who was weak and so needy it was creepy not sexy. I don't think i'd have such a negative impression if the book wasn't soooo hyped. My hopes for the book were pretty high but the reality of it was a disappointment.
I was unexpectadly caught up in this book and did not think I would enjoy it as much as I did!
Christian Grey because he is deep, evolving, mysterious, and unpredictable.
I don't particularly enjoy the narrator. Her take on Grey is not masculine enough and she often makes Anastasia sound childish.
Absolutely. I found myself NOT listening because I did not want to be done!
Review notes on narrator, I think this could have been done MUCH better.
Time well spent? I suppose once you've mastered the ability to ignore average writing and slow-to-warm up plot.
Yes. Cinemax. The after midnight genre.
The narrator did not read this book in a believable manner and horridly attempt tone and inflection changes.
Repetitive vocabulary (impassive, elusive) and the same descriptions over and over...
adolescent girls might like it.
I didn't like the narrators voice, too immature, the story line was boring and was mostly soft porn.
Her voice was too squeaky and immature.
disgust and disappointment.
sorry I paid for it.
HORRIBLE, her valley girl accent, and her very non manly accents were horrible. Very annoying. I did like the book.
Sexy, Intriguing and Fun!
I can't compare it honestly because I haven't read another book quite like this one. It wasn't just a book about sexual encounters or exploration it had a good storyline to it as well.
More the female aspect of the book. Though I thought she might have been a little too dramatic with some of her interpretations of what she read.
A sexy and inspiring novel of how far true love can really take you...
When I first heard of the books they were described to me as something that would give true insight into females and how they thought. Even being a female (and maybe especially because) this intrigued me.
In case anyone else has heard something along those lines let me now dispell any of those rumors. As good as the books are they are not insight into how 'all women' think. Read with appreciation of a good set of books and definately an open mind.
