Laugh all the time
The narrator had put all her talent in going along with the story emotions.
It is the first and only audio book I have heard and I am hooked!
I would compare it most to a female version of Penthouse Letters lol.
The tone. You can hear shutters in ones voice which you simply can not read. Their is raw emotion which is driven into the listener.
50 Shades of Grey: Making Women Wet since 2011.
The Narrator was compelling. Her interpretation of dialogue, story and monologue was superb.
No. But my god, I will. What a great voice. What great emotion! What an incredible narrator!!!
Yes, this book was a page turner... I couldn't stop reading it and neither could the ladies in the office. We were all staying up late at night around the clock for this steamy page turner. I love how the narrator could switch up for all the voices. Great story!
Christian Grey.. most of all but all the characters were great.. I hope they make this into a movie.
The job interview!
No. If you're looking for a steamy book, you'll get your fix in the first few chapters. If you're looking for a story line beyond that, forget it!
The main character is a weak, helpless female. She lets Christian dominate her in the bedroom- fine! That's a personal preference. However, she also lets him run her life, boss her around, and keep secrets from her. How annoying!! There is serious possibility for an interesting story, but instead you get sex scene after sex scene after sex scene.
The reader did a great job with all characters. It could have been very awkward to read this book and act it out- but it wasn't!
The follow ups are no better.
Don't waste a credit.
This was like a "Young Adult" genre book, just with more sex. The writing was almost funny in times, but not where the author was trying to be humorous - more often when she was trying to be serious.
The narrator sounded like a valley girl and was almost so annoying that I stopped listening. In both the writing the narration I kept thinking "this is not what a 23 year old woman sounds like... this is a teenager pretending to act like a grown woman." The dialog and situations did not seem real - it was like listening to a bad soap opera.
I can't say that S&M makes me squeamish - there are some pretty graphic descriptions of their sex play, but I felt like I was expecting her to take it further. Really, isn't this the book that everyone talked about this summer? Wouldn't you think it'd be a little more controversial? Maybe that has to do something with where I'm from (San Francisco), but come on.... we're all adults and we can handle it!
I would say this - if you are a 18-20 year old girl and are curious about this sort of erotic novel - by all means, try it out. Or, if you're an adult and your idea of eroticism doesn't go past what you might see in a rated R movie, be my guest. If you were looking for something with a good story, or just wanted something spicy to entertain you for a while - I would look elsewhere.
Annastasia, the heroine of the book.
When he took up on the helicopter.
This book will rock your world!
This book was unexpected in so many ways. He is incredibly gorgeous, very rich, and very sexy. That alone makes it a fun read for lots of women. He is very talented and inventive in bed. More fun! When it gets to "the Red Room of Pain" I was very uncomfortable and wanted to go back to the fun stuff. I think men should read this to. They will get a new education in how to please your wife, just about anywhere!! How to make sex fun, and how to ignite your sex life. Oh well a women can only dream.....
I love James Patterson; not the witchcraft books, Dorothea Benton Frank, Nora Roberts I love books about lawyers, tropical beaches
OH Yes; I will listen to this again and hope there is another one comes out soon:)
AWESOME... I have listened to at least 200 audio books and she is the best I have ever heard...
I have to think of reasons to drive in my car or clean the house because that is when I listen to my audio books....
