Avid Zombie Fiction listener!!! Bring on the living dead.
Great story, Great narration, Great characters, Great series!!!
The whole series is very well written and flows perfectly.
Love a Good Audio, and a Great Flip Flop.
Once I ended book 1 I immediatly started the download of book 2, I did not want to miss even a single day. I found myself listening while getting ready for work, on the drive to work and during my lunch break. I purchased an arm strap for my iphone and on weekends cleaned my entire house in less then 1 1/2 hours (which is a feat) without batting an eyelash! The comedic presentation, description of events makes you feel like you are right there with the Talbots!
The easier questions would be what did I NOT like about this story, one word. Nothing.
I am on book 6 now and they have all ran together (the signal of a wonderfully written story) so I can not exactly remember what happened that singles this book out.
Seriously, they need to make a film of this book and all the others. It would by far do better then World War Z!!
If you are doubting you would like a Zombie story, DONT. Download the first one and you will be hooked!
I picked up this series only because of the massive number of favorable reviews. I generally am not interested in the zombie genre. This series is an exception. The main protagonist is overly moralistic at times but he is a fun character. The narrator does an excellent job. I didn't expect to pick up book 2, but I am now anxiously waiting for my credits so I can get book 3. I have several other books to read or listen to until then, but they are not what I want after just finishing this book. Kinda like popcorn
Yes, it's funny and gross.
Spoiler - Aunt Marta says Tommy is going with her to Florida with Uncle Alex, Paul, Erin, April yet when goodbyes are done Tommy is with Mike's group. It feels like an entire pivotal scene was left out. Alex is crying and hugging Mike but no mention about Marta and Tommy's goodbye or what was said that explains why Tommy stayed with strangers VS family. Considering Tommy was the reason for Marta coming out of her catatonic state after being shunned by her family for marrying a convict and then her kids to zombies, it doesn't make sense. When Marta says Tommy is going with her, Mike even says that we know who will win that argument. I'm halfway through the book so I can only hope this distracting plot tangent doesn't remain foremost in my brain or is satisfactorly explained. Love the sarcasm.
Not read print version
I really enjoyed several parts including the larger part B.T. has in the story, and threads from the first book that Tufo brings into the second. I always love Tommy and the moments he spends with Mike.
When I started the last book I thought Sean Runnette was just ok as the narrator. By the end of the second book I couldn't imagine anyone else or anyone more perfect. The way he dryly delivers all of the sarcastic inner-monologue is perfect. I think he's great.
This really wasn't a book I wanted to read in one sitting. Unlike the first book it took me a while to get into the second book. This book is depressing because of the splitting of the group.
I think Mark Tufo is one of the most clever writers I've ever read. I love the character development, the interplay, and how it feels like Tufo has a vision of where the story is going.
Audible is the best thing since AM radio. Being an Outside sales rep, listening to a great novel really eats away at the hours on the road.
Some of the finest sarcasm in modern zombie fiction about a guy from Boston. ;) Great Story
Exciting, sarcastic, addictive
I've not read anything as good as this 6 part series. I love the dark humour and the friendships Mike Talbot makes along the way..
I've now read All the Zombie Fallout books and STRONGLY recommend anyone to purchase the rest of the series PLUS I also read Dr Hugh Mann 3.5 which is not essential but I'm so glad I did read it. It helps tie up a few threads in the following books.
Absolutely!! I buy audiobooks to help pass the time while I'm on the road but with Mark Tufo & Sean Runnette's team work I am finding I'm listening to it when I get home too!
I just wish there were more to come than the 7 books. I pictured Ray Romano built like an ex marine when I first started listening to this fabulous series..
Amazingly great story!
Stephen Kings The Stand. The whole end of the world and how people deal with it, both are well written and infused with humor in the face of a horrible situation.
Mr. Runnette has me picturing Mike perfectly. This series is my first experience at "listening " to a book and I find myself very much relating Sean R's voice with Mr. Talbots personality. Perfect choice of narrators.
One family's struggle for survival amidst an plague of epic proportions led by an army of the undead. Or something along those lines. ZOMBIES ZOMBIES ZOMBIES works too!
2 down 4 to go. ZombieFallout is my new favorite series!
After listening to the first Zombie Fallout book I was already hooked. With the second book my love for this series grows.
The characters have become like old friends already and Sean Runnette continues to bring the story to life and make this a memorable and enjoyable listen.
Definately! I love every book in this series. I listened to them on my way to and from work every day and as soon as one book was finished I continued with the next in the series. It was like a movie. The narrater is good with different voices and I feel attached to most all of the main characters.
It just never stops
Either Mike or BT
Never have time to listen all in one sitting but listened to and from work every day until series was complete
