Love the jd robb series and this was just as good. Human interest with suspense thrown in.
An excellent narration with captivating characters and plot. The story had me engaged from beginning to end.
"Predictable and shallow"
The characters in this book remained cardboard cut-outs for me, and I cared so little about their ultimate fate that I stopped listening at the end of the first part. Good looking man with whacky mother meets incredibly good looking girl with a past. Repetitive, turgid and hackneyed sex scenes (not that I generally mind sex scenes, just like at least a little originality in the vocabulary), no humour, no reality and generally BORING. Not for me.
Beautifully told story of courage of young girl who fled a murder scene and kept running until she fell in love with a man she could trust to help her bring the perpetrators to justice. As a heroine she was utterly believable. The reader took us into a vividly drawn narrative that kept the tension going until end.
"Middle of the road entertainment."
An enjoyable trashy story. It wasn't amazing but it want terrible either. The ending came suddenly and was a bit brisk but non the less enjoyed this audiobook.
The most interesting character! thoroughly enjoyed it and struggled to put it down. the 3 times I've heard it!
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!!!!! Storyline, characters .... AND THE NARRATOR......JUST BRILLIANT!!!!what can I add to that? NOTHING
"A book doesn't get much better"
I've had this book for a while and never felt in the mood to listen to it. What a page turner (so to speak) a book doesn't get much better than this. FABULOUS
A relaxing easy book to listen to. Well narated, good characters, simple but interesting storyline. I would recommend it to others.
I am a huge fan of Nora Roberts and have pretty much all of her audio books but this is my favourite.
Abigail is incredibly endearing and my favourite of all characters in Nora's books. Her development throughout the book through her relationship with the local police chief Brooks was great.
Julia does a great job with all characters and she is excellent with both the female and male characters.
Definitely. I listened to it at every opportunity the first time and have listened to it more than once since. I couldn't wait to hear how Abigail's relationship with the local chief of police, and of course the thriller aspect of the book, worked out.
I don't often review my audio books but I can't recommend this one highly enough.
