Yes, I would recommend. This book represents the NR that I love to read. It had everything, drama, humor and just the right amount of heat.
All the characters were so well developed, even Bert the dog.
The scene at the church was very realistic
I stayed up past my bedtime until if finished it.
I wanted the epilog to jump ahead even further to their wedding
50 something listener loves ending the day lost in a good book.
The characters were from one extreme to the other. Cold and self-serving vs simple and over friendly. The story was just okay and a little predictable. I enjoy happy endings and I smiled alot while listening.
Next to my all time favorites Guilty Wives, Now You See Her Now You Don't, Kill Me If You Can!!!
Elizabeth and Abigail and Brooks.
Absolutely... I was laughing, crying (especially when Elizabeth's selfish, cold and calculating mother abandoned her) !!
This is my first Nora Roberts book and I love it!!!! I look forward to reading her other books
The differences in the personalities of male and female in this book are very interesting, and fun to listen to.Would love to see them together again!
This book was Nora Roberts at her best. I couldn't put it down but yet didn't want it to end.
Julia's performance was excellent. You could always tell which character she was being.
Just sitting on the edge of my chair.
I really enjoyed this story...and I've read or listened to at least 95% of Nora Roberts/JD Robb's books. I especially enjoyed the narrator's different characters...she truly captured the nuances of the region.
The plot was great. The narration was believable and authentic.
Yes! I kept looking over my shoulder in anticipation of the guys finding Abigail Lowey.
The Ozark and Russian dialects were believable.
The Witness -- Hiding in plain sight
Get this book!! Someone hurry up and make a movie!!!!!
I chose this book based on exceptional reviews and was disappointed. The story is predictable and I eventually lost interest... I hung in there until the bitter end and there were no surprises.
Yes, I will probably listen to it again. The storyline was so interesting.
The murder scene and escape.
Russian mafia bested by an all American girl.
This story was abysmal. The heroine in this book is so unrealistic, I couldn't understand why the writer made a supposedly exceptionally smart person so robotic and socially unaware. Additionally the 'romance' is juvenile and difficult to listen to and the 'tense' moments of the thriller are pretty boring and cookie cutter. All around fail. I haven't finished the book yet, but I'm honestly so bored and disgusted that I might give up.
If she's not reading a southern or male accent, possibly. It was an alright performance, I think the book itself made me dislike her more than her actual performance.
