This was my first experience with Nora Roberts. I am sure glad I chose this as my first. The book had me hooked from beginning to end. The performer was excellent. She captured the essence of each character. From the prior reviews, I chose the right book to start my introduction into Nora Robert's Novels. Great Audio Book!!!
Yes, the plot was very intriguing. The story was very well woven and retold..
This was my first Julia Whelan performance, but she was great. All of her character voices were very believable. She made the story flow and unfold expertly.
Has you captivated from the beginning to the very end..
An avid audible fan since 11 years now!
Haven't read it in printed form, but the audio makes for some extra immersion!
Abigail - she really sounds like she is a very smart woman and certainly to logic
The murder scene in the beach house was very exciting and very tense.
kept readers suspended till the end
No, I am a senior. I don't understand young people's culture, although the plot was interesting.
When Abigel confessed, Brooks offered helping hand.
The combination of suspense, genuine characters, romance...
I wouldn't say on the edge of my seat, somewhat predictable, but interesting
Not sure, but great performance of various characters
I've read a lot of Nora Roberts over the years...some stories are similar just different names and scenarios....but I loved these characters and the story!
My first Nora Roberts book and I will be looking for others. This was a great read, good characters, great story that kept moving and interesting twists and turns. Not predictable and cliche - even some romance. Something for everyone! Don't hesitate.
This book starts out interesting and just keeps getting better. The narrator does and excellent job with the voices, so you just want to keep listening, and listening. It's somewhat of a mystery, suspense, romance novel. Has a very good story, and really gets you wondering just how she can possibly get to have a normal life in the end. That is what our main character wants, when she meets that special guy, is a normal life. Her life has been in hiding, and she can trust no one, so it does seem to be an impossible feat. All in all, I really enjoyed the book.
I haven't read Norah Roberts' book for a while. I thought, should take a safe decision to make it worthwile :D . It was easy to listen, entertaining and you couldn't wait to hear the end of it. I really enjoyed the narration by Whelan. It was fun to listen, so I re-run the story again. First time using audible program on my ipod, and I like the snooze feature.
Most definately. The Witness is a very captivating story full of tragedy, romance, high tech technology, spies and suspense.
Elizabeth - she was a very smart, savy young lady.
Can't pick! She did all of them so good.
When she recounted her relationship with her mother and her description of how she
had stayed "on the run" for so many years.
I highly recommend this book and could easily listen to it again. Once I started it
I couldn't stop listening. Got thru the 16 hours of audio in two days!
Great story, I couldn't put it down. Julia Whelan did a fantastic job with the young Elizabeth and the grown. Definatly a must read!
I absolutely loved this book! I am very late to the party. Apparently Nora Roberts has a huge fan following and has had it for some time. I'm not sure where I've been but this is only my second book from her and the first was just finished a week ago.
The story was sweet, and intelligent enough not to be "mushy". Can't wait to finish this review so that I can move on to my next Roberts' book.
