Well performed, interesting characters portrayed well in the small town American setting
After the trial when Abigail was the witness and what happened next
A little of both
I had given up on Nora Roberts, but this revived my confidence in her. Follow it up with Play Dead by David Rosenfeld, which also deals with the wilness protection program.
No I'm not one to go back to listen to things again and again - especially when I know the ending.
The whole concept of Liz's character and story was inspired and so I enjoyed the book all the way through. She was well drawn as a very strong determined woman however her vulnerability was very clear. Brooks was also a great combination alternatively of laid back and steel - depending on what was necessary for Liv or his job at the time.
Absolutely. The story was well developed and the characters, as well. True human emotion and reaction of main character.
Ferm Michaels Sisterhood series
Main character's (Abigail Lowery) scene by her pond with her dog, were she wants to put a bench.
Great story of a girl's self-strength and survival, coupled with her brillance to overcome the bad nature of people. She is self-reliant and resourceful. Of course she meets a loving sheriff and his family on the way!
It was cleaning carpets...It made the chore so much more enjoyable and bearable.
Brooks. He sounds like my kind of guy. Nice and easy lovin' and patient.
this was the fist book I have listened to so it is hard to say. She did a good job distinguishing between characters.
It made me laugh a few times. I even gave Abigail/Liz an atta' girl a time or two.
This was my first adio book. It won't be my last!
I listened to this book as an audiobook and was totally engaged
The different elements that shifted and evolved
No cannot compare
Suspenseful, romantic novel
I thoroughly enjoyed Abigail and Brooks interactions from the beginning to the end. Their contrasting personalities meshing made me laugh out loud.
I think the narrator was awesome! I think she nailed the part of Abigail and I probably wouldn't have read her personality as well as the narrator portrayed her.
Suspenseful yet many laugh out loud moments and pull at the heart moments.
I'm a true Nora Roberts fan, as well as J.D. Robb, I don't think I've ever read one that disappointed me. I'm enjoying Julia Whelan's narrative very much.
The story grabs you from the start and never lets you go
She did an EXCELLENT job!
When it was over I was sad because it was over,
Nora Roberts' story telling is peerless. She creates characters who come alive, writes dialogue that sounds real, establishes story lines that keep you enthralled.
Yes - more than once I found my heart racing as events unfolded toward inevitable confrontation.
After a dozen years running from people who want to kill her, will she stop running now and take a stand for love?
