ok story, but the author couldn't seem to find any word for crazy besides daft, which made me daft.
not as an audio
Love all the books in this series. They are all very romantic, funny and heartbreaking at times. Would recommend to anyone who would love to escape into a very entertaining story.
There was a good bit of action/adventure at the beginning of the book and then at the end, but the vast expanses through out the middle of the book had me board. There were also flaws in the way the lead characters interacted that just didn't come off as realistic.
Not a book I'd recommend.

A light, fun romp that reminded me a little bit of the movie Brave (a very adult version of Brave -- there was a lot of sexy-time in this book). I enjoyed it, and I'm somewhat tempted to read on as I liked the character of Rionna and the next book focuses on her, but I'm not sure that I will.
The first of a trilogy, hooks you for the rest of the brothers stories. This book not only had the usual love story, but sets up the characters for the remaining books. You get interested in the McCabe brothers and admire their loyalty to each other and family. They do what is good for the clan, even at a personal sacrifice. It has a nice bit of action, politics, scheming, and deception going on, providing a nice background for things to come. The main plot of the story is the romance though, but the title tells us that.
No. I only listen to books once.
Many others - can't recall names.
No, but I will listen to more.
Several moments, quite frankly. The writer has a skill for capturing life moments that we all cherish.
Yes, this was a great book and series
All of them!
Kirsten Potter's performance for each character was wonderful!
The twists and turns with each character that eventually intertwines with them all by the end...firm family roots, mixed in with trust it really covers EVERY EMOTION!!!!
Love a story w/ humor,romance,adventure, w/out a lot of bickering,& good deals.
Brave heroine, strong hero, good story. Well written and perfect narrator, highland romance lovers should enjoy this. I did.
I really liked this first book in the McCabe Trilogy and cannot wait to listen to the stories of the remaining brothers, Alaric and Caelen. The American narrator has a very nice voice and I enjoyed her, however my only complaint was that she simply cannot do a Scottish accent. I am very familiar with Scots and her accent varied between Russian and Irish. Once I got used to the fact that I wasn't going to hear a true Scots accent, it was fine.
I enjoyed the relationship between Ewan and Mairin. As laird of a crumbling keep and a destitute clan, Ewan is not used to be disobeyed which Mairin does every chance she gets. I did love how the women of the clan accepted Mairin as one of their own and as their laird's lady.
I highly recommend this medieval Scottish romance.
