Great Zombie Book!
No, you can break it up as needed.
This is a good book with an average Joe who's kinda prepared for the zombie apocholypse like so many of us :P However this isn't a bunch of just and over the top bad-ass-action; This book gives a more realistic look at how the world would be after a zombie outbreak (with a few little twists) and there is some humor thrown in so the slow story parts are still worth listening to. Overall this book is excellent and I hope the "zombie book with humor" bit doesn't dissuade you from giving this a shot
The narrator matched Talbot's sarcasm and humor perfectly. Enjoyed every minute.
The graphic detail of the zombies and relatableness of everyday lives.
The timing of the wit and sarcasm was spot on. I was laughing out loud because of it.
The whole book moved me.
This should be a MUST read for fans of the genre and fans of sarcastic humor.
I only listened to the audio.
Nothing specific but it has numerous comments that will make you laugh.
It is worth your time if you enjoy the zombie thing...
I've replaced my HD TV with the Audible app.
Sarcasm, Slime, and Suspense.
Michael Talbot is every guys friend who he loves to have because he tells it like it is and his sense of humor will always leave you laughing.
Sean Runnette opens this series as the perfect person to deliver this great story. He only gets better and he IS the voice of Talbot. Let's hope he can act when the movies finally come out because no one can hold a candle to him as the voice of Michael Talbot.
Someone's licking my "P***Hole" will make you LOL if not ROFL. Don't snack on milk and cookies while you are listening to this one as the story opens. You'll laugh and shoot milk through your nose for sure.
Are you a Zombie genre fan? This is by far the top of mountain if not the best thing going. Enjoy and prepare to blow through the entire series in less than a week because you won't want to stop listening.
I am married with a teenage son and run my own business. As I am visually impaired, audio books are my life.
This book came across as so much like any other zombie story. It bored me and I didn't finish listening to it. Maybe it got better but it didn't keep me interested.
I would recommend this one for lovers of the zombie-Appocalypse genre. Entertaining with some dry, wry humor & family love & loyalty.
This one is true to the genre but not a closer fit to any other novel.
I enjoyed the outbreak scenes most.
Several chuckles joined me with this novel.
Yes, it was great.
Don't care, just enjoyed the book.
No comments, just enjoyed the book.
I only have the audio edition
The gun related humor
Herring it performed helps to visualize the character better
I born a long time ago and grew up to be who I am today.
There are a lot of Zombie novels out there, so why this one? Because it's fun! Tufo manages to give us a protagonist who's facing a horde of Zombies while keeping his priorities straight like the fact that he arms his kids with guns for back up but has to promise his wife he won't get her "baby boys" killed. And then knowing hordes of Zombies are outside but his dog needs to go for a walk. This isn't a story about killing Zombies either - something else that seems to be the focus of most Zombie myth. If the Walking Dead has a Situationial Comedy on CBS it would be Zombie Fallout. The gore and tension is often mixed with humor and laugh out loud moments as Mike swears "I'm not ashamed to admit it, because that's what happened"... you get the idea.
I have listened to several Zombie thrillers through Audible and most are okay to good. This series though knocked it out of the park! Mark Tufo does a great job at mixing guts, fun, and sarcasm all in one while on a wild ride. The tone, speed, and accent of the narrator could also have not been more perfect. Sean Runnette does and A+ job. I liked this series so much I am reading the print version of #6 because I cannot wait to read it, but I will probably get the audio as well....it is THAT GOOD. I will be sure you check out the other Mark Tufo books as well. Great job all and keep up the great work!
The tone and sarcasm! Perfect fit.
Keep them coming from this author and narrator, please!
