I am a busy sports mom listening to romance only. If the narrator is good and it has a decent plot, I will find it enjoyable.
I liked Beth. She looked beyond his "madness".
Not really. Some of the beginning was a little slow, but eventually picked up.
I am not sure, this book had a very good story but very little romance, not much passion, which is very strange for a romance novel. I expected more passion, desire, and intrigue and unfortunately all of these factors that make a great romance novel were missing.
If you are looking for lust, passion, and obsession, this is not the book for you. Very PG13 lol
The brothers bond and the wonderful bond with their wives. Unbreakable.
This wast the first time
When Ian stood by Beth's bedside, and realized what love is.
I recommend this book, I couldn't stop til I was done.
His awakening of emotion to Beth, don't want to say to much, it could ruin it for others.
No this was the first time. She was terrific.
The only thing that keeps me from giving this book a full 5 stars is the overdone intimate scenes, perhaps it was because you are listening to the story rather than reading it I don't know, but it wont stop me from getting the second book :)

Lord Ian Mackenzie and Beth their love story is riveting.
Ian and how his world changed for the better through learning to love and let go with Beth
The ending was very touching when Ian came to the realization that he could love someone.
The ending was good. Many books I listen to more than once. I probably won't be listening to it again.
I might try another. I might go back to the solid murder mysteries, Patterson etc. I quit those because they seemed like formulas, predictable.
I loved the surprising twists and turns and the erotic sex scenes.
I loved Beth, such a strong women unafraid of anyone and at ease with her sexuality.
I also loved Ian Mackenzie-very atractive !
Yes- once I got used to the starnge voice of the narrator.
The narrators voice was strange, but she did do the voices of the characters quite well.
I wish their was another book in the series -the mackenzie men are very interesting and attractive .
The story was pretty weak, but the narration was worse.
The story was full of holes and the characters made little sense
Don't waste your pennies
I love it when an author provokes you to think outside the box. I loved Ian and Beth and while the HEA is a given, I never found this boring. The dialogue and characters are intelligently written. This is the favorite of the MacKenzie series for me...but I do like books 2 and 3 almost as well. I am so tired of cookie cutter, black and white romance, this author explores a disability (a level of autism) which certainly would have been referred to as "madness" in that time period. I am certain many disabilities existed and many abusive situations that are not discussed or necessarily known about in Austen's books. Much ignorance and tolerance was afforded the elite since they "deserved" to do what they wanted to. The MacKenzie's father was a case in point. I found this quite interesting, I'll listen to this again.
