I loved the action and the sub plots intertwined in the midst of choas!
My favorite character was Paris. She was a bit oversexed, cocky but I loved her attitude and skills.
The intensity of the situations
Yes. Interesting plot and suspense kept my attention
The duties of the females in the family not revealed until necessary.
There were a lot of favorite scenes for me. Like to leave the other readers curious.
When the father was faced with decision to follow the game rules or his heart
Enjoy this book being read to you. The reader were excellent.
AUDIBLE MAKES READING POSSIBLE AND EASY FOR ME...I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED. I WISH THEY HAD ALL THE BOOKS I WANT I WOULD SNAP THEM UP!
MAYBE SOMEONE YOUNGER.
THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND THE STORY DEVELOPMENT. I LIKE WHEN A STORY UNFOLDS, THIS STORY JUST HAPPENED. AND IT WAS VERY THIN.
THEY WERE GOOD. NO, THEY WERE GREAT.
THE NARRATORS WERE GOOD. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD STORY IF THEY JUST DEVELOPED IT BETTER. I LIKE TO KNOW ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS. I FELT LIKE I ONLY KNEW ANY OF THEM THRU THE CONVERSATIONS THEY HAD WITH EACH OTHER.
I drive I listen!
Carl Weber has the knack for telling a story as if everything is normal until BANG!!! they sell drugs in the car. Wow! The book flows well. Each character is introduced and background and personality given so you can say "Paris would say that". Read each book twice now because it is that good
I loved the entire series. I can't wait to continue this saga of the Duncan Family Business. There are some lose ends with LC, Orlando and son, Chippy and her health, Vegas and his girlfriend,, son and Muslim mentor. Hopefully, there will be another soon. please notify me as soon as available.
Book Addict and a Fantasy Fanatic!
I found this book quite entertaining. The story unfolds bit by bit. I love the way the author gives you many sides of the same scene. it reminds me of the movie Vantage Point.
The characters are easy to hate. Usual a book makes you want to fall in love with the characters, but this does the opposite but in a good way. He creates a group of characters you love to hate. Through out the book, I was hoping for someone to slap Paris, punch Harris, and kill Tony. If a book makes you feel strongly enough to hate it's characters then it's a good start to keep you reading the series just to see them get what they deserve.
Now that narration for this book was not so good. Orlando was suppose to date women with foreign accents but they all sounded the same. At one point he is with an Asian women who sounded Jamaican. When he stated she was Asian, I burst out laughing. I played it for my fiance and he stated she sounded Jamaican too. The other narrators struggled wit sounding like the opposite sex. The lady who voices London does the best job, but Paris and the men really struggled with adjusting their sound.
Overall this book was worth my credit and I've already bought the next.
