The Immortals After Dark series has put my life at a stand still! This series has wonderful, witty, strong, intelligent characters and stories. I found myself laughing out loud and yearning for what happens next much more than other series I have read/listened to. The narrator, Robert Petkoff, was AMAZING. I am impressed with his ability to vary his voice/accent for the various characters. If you want to lose yourself for a couple of days, (because, trust me, you won't be able to break away) this is absolutely the series for you.
Yes. The stroy is great as is but Robert Petkhoff is a genius at ready this series. He totally captures each character.
The battle between the 2 characters. They are constantly fighting fate.
Sebastian. He captures the accents and emotions perfectly as he does with each of these audiobook stories that he's previously read. I will listen to any audiobook that he reads. Please stick to using him for reading the remainder of this series.
I'm a lover of books, both read and audible.
When I first starting listening to this book it took me a week to make it past the first few chapters. I was so over the female angst. Should she or shouldn't she. Make a decision and get it over with. About mid way through the book, it started to become interesting. I was pleased with the characters growth throughout the book but not to the point I would want to listen to the book again.

WHEN SEBASTION CAME TO VAL HALL FOR KITTY KAD AND WHEN SHE TURNS TO LOOK AT HIM HE PLACES HIS HAND ON HIS HEART. UMMMMM I MELT!!!
SEBASTION IS JUST YUMMY!!!
Absolutely. I think this series is fantastic and the second book is even better than the first.
Sebastian and Kaderin of course but I also think Keaden is hysterical.
Yes, the first book in this immortal series. He is great. The accents are perfect and make you want to listen for hours. His accented growls of the male characters are toe curling fun. The females are a bit breathy at times, more in the first book but he makes up for it in the second. The main females voice is perfect this time around.
Yes, I laughed out loud and a few different parts defintely made me cry. This story is so passionate and agonizing, it is hard to stop and take a break.
As I said, I enjoyed the first book of this series but I enjoyed the second one so much more. I will reread this many times. Sebastian and Kaderins story is awesome. They both have histories that make you root for them and curse them at times. They are passionate and fierce. There is angst and agony throughout but it is not so dramatic that it overwhelmes. This book also introduces many other lore species through the competition. I love the glimpes you get, both funny and intriguing. Lastly, I love the Amazing Race like scavenger hunt in this story. It brings the characters to the most interesting places, puts them against complex competitors and adds so many levels of intensity to this (already) high octane story. It is fast paced, melt in your seat, can't wait to see what happens next fun. Can't wait to continue on with the series. Cole is quickly becoming a new fav of mine.
Yes, I would. If you like paranormal romance this book is first rate.
The sexual tension between Sabastian and his "bride".
When Kad admits that she loves Sabastian.
Yes, sadly time did not allow for that.
This is a wonderful second installment in the Imortals after Dark series. Well written with a great ending it read sure from beginning to end. Robert Petkoff is a wonderful narrator. He could read the yellow pages and I would listen. Worth the price of admission for sure.
3.5 stars for this one as well. I liked Kaderin more than Emmaline, but then not quite as much as Myst. I also liked that this one was a little bit more action oriented with the Hie (an immortal version of the Amazing Race) as the challenge, sending them around the world on a violent scavenger hunt. When Sebastian wasn't being Mr. Wimpy, then he was pretty awesome leading man. Though at times, it kind of felt like reading about the two class nerds who got hot and then fell in love with each other. Love Potion #9...anyone??? anyone???
