My hearing will surely go out early in life due to all the audiobooks I listen to!
Will Robie is good at what he does; Sanctioned Assassinations. When Robie fails to pull off a hit, the repercussions are fierce.
When the 14 year old Julie-living with her drunk drug addicted foster parents-sneaks off to run away with her real parents, there is someone already there.
An army squads members hold the answers. But the knight and pawn game played by the masterminds seem to keep them one step ahead.
A bus trip meeting, explosions, revelations, attempted assassinations, romance, betrayal and action scenes that give you a real "TV drama" feel with the added sound effects and music take you on one wild ride as Robie, who is not so innocent protects those who are.
Haven't read the book, but do like all Baldacci novels I have read.
All the Camel Club series for mystery and intrigue with an unexpected twist in the plot.
Good characterizations and great to have a woman doing women's roles and a man doing men's roles.
Added sound effects a big plus. Superior listen. Hopefully highly supported and possibly leading to full audio acting with multiple narrators and fuller sound effects.
This was my first Baldacci book. It was a pleasant surprise. I grew up loving James Bond; the Roby character reminds me of 007. I too hope there is a sequel, but in the meantime I intend to check out some other books by this author.
The suspense ... at times ... it was intense!
Yes. I kept trying to figure it out ... was always behind the plot ... that's a good thing.
The voices were realistic. I could picture the characters in my mind.
Yes. I found myself listening whenever possible throughout the day.
I loved this book. One of my favorites. Intense and an incredible story.
Yes it was very good and suspenseful , I did recommend this one to friends , they loved it
Robbie , he is also a smart and tough guy
Yes and they are good together
A suspense that will keep u wondering!!
I didn't care much for the little girl in the book , at 14 she seemed a bit to cocky and knowledgable at that age
Another great Baldacci story. He never disappoints. Looking forward to more stories centered on Will Robie. Enjoyed the narrators.
Baldacci is always a good listen for me. The Innocent delivers a fast-paced, interesting story that satisfies from beginning to end. He develops interesting characters, a mysterious plot, and well described setting. He does it all without boring the crap out of me for hours. This is important since my listening time and attention span is limited. Sorry though; five-star rating is reserved for "I can't wait to get back to my audiobook".
Compared to other spy or assassin stories this was just too unbelievable. I was tempted to give up on it within the first half hour but stuck through until the end.
I would. as usual in a Baldacci book there are several stories developing as the book progresses and i like to go back and see if I missed a turn, twist or theme.
Julie, just a lot of fun and a different character.
yes, however I cold not
Listen and get hocked on Baldacci
It was okay. There were too many plots intertwined and the core plot seemed to get lost. Then it picks up again and then loses steam. There was intrigue more because of the narrator.
Yes because I have read his books and he is good.
Initial interaction between the girl & Robie till they settle down. The akwardness and respect for each other and knowing that there is no third person to watch their backs was well performed.
No I do not see it as a movie or TV series
I liked "The Forgotten" better than "The Innocent"
