I am a scifi/fantasy/mythology reader, and to find a book that incorporates that into a romance novel is wonderful, I found it hard to turn it off to go to bed at night, and listened just about everywhere. Sophie Eastlake did a wonderful job, would have prefered to have a man actually do the male voices.. Would like to have more books in this series, it seems as if there is much more to the story, that the first 4 books were just an introduction to each of the characters. More please.
I have been happily married for 17 years, I have 3 children (12, 14, & 16), and 2 dogs. I am currently working on a 2nd degree. Life is chaotic and stressful, but I wouldn't change it. I am blessed and enjoying my life.
This book was wonderful. I loved the characters, the plot, the humor, the happy ending! The ending makes you smile :) I can hardly wait for the next one!!!
Kudos to the narrator, she did a truly spectacular job with the voices.
Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
Loved it funny, mysterious, sexy kept you interested. Love orcale she was not to proud to except help and boy did she need it and the gynn was perfect for her. Totally worth any credit or cost.
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
Too many things I loved to pick a part I liked best.
Great as ever.
I had a few laughs : ).
It's well worth the credit.
Absolutely. I love the rest of the books in this series and Sophie Eastlake is my favorite narrator.
I feel like this should have been a novella. Nothing really happened until the last 3rd of the book.
I loved the characters and the overall story line, there was just too much filler.
I wasn't sure I was going to like this one, because the Oracle seemed a little rough in the last book, but I was so wrong! The characters are a little different in this book, but still very well developed and interesting. (Does anyone else envision Tom Hiddleston as Khalil?)
Sophie Eastlake does another outstanding job performing this book. Chloe's voice is adorable and I literally laughed out loud during the dialog between Khalil and Rune. Dude.
Highly recommend the series but this was the best book.
The plot was a bit more complex than the other stories and I really enjoyed the way that the author wove a kind of spiritual connection as well as physical aspect of the characters relationship. Twice as hot!
Fabulous job with the voices and really putting in some "attitude"
Absolutely! I actually listened to it twice - back-to-back before I moved on to the next book in the series.
I have come to expect great things from Thea Harrison, and was not disappointed by this book. It continues the story of the elder races, and pulls in people I feel like I know from other books. However it is a great story all by itself. A little fantastical - but aren't they all?
I save my audio books for road trips..but it was so engageing i could not wait for the next road trip to finisn..yeah i really enjoyed the book,
I think she did a great job
It had great fun moments..but parts were so sweet , and loving it made your eyes tear up a bit
Say something about yourself!
I have to say I didn't think I would ever be so addicted to a set of books as I am to Black Dagger Brotherhood...and I was wrong. If BDB gets a 100, this series is getting at least a 95! The world created by Thea Harrison is so vivid and distinct from anything else I have ever read that I just want to know more and more, and like with BDB I find myself wondering which of these secondary characters is going to be the focus of the next book.
Love, love, love these books, can't tell you how happy I am with them! The only thing that would make them a bit better is not waiting so long for the hot scenes...I mean you KNOW they are coming, but I want them to hurry up and get there long before they actually do. The scenes are well written and explicit, but in a GOOD way!
This book detailed the story of the Oracle (Grace) and the Gin Callile, once again sorry for the spelling, these were listened to not read so I am doing my best!
The plot was full, the characters were well rounded, and if you can call a totally imaginary world made up of imaginary creatures as believable, then this plot within this imaginary world was very believable...I do feel a bit cheated, in need of a serious epilogue or a book two about them, because I SOOOO want to know how it went after the book was over, but for the most part, two thumbs way up!
