I plan to listen again. The story line is at times serious, funny, full of adventure. It's a special blend of all things human.
Light and funny at times. At times it brings a smile to your face.
Wonderful performance by Sophie Eastlake. Keep bringing it to us girl! Haven't listened to her before but looking forward to hearing her again. You go girl.
I wouldn't have thought it based on the overview but this was one of the best in the series. I love the attitude Grace has adn that while all of the characters have a moment of stupidity they recover quickly and move forward.
Sophie Eastlake does an excellent job with the characters as well.
Thea Harrison knows her Sci-Fi Fantasy - I recommend listening to all 4 books
I loved Grace's Character.
This book will make you laugh and make you cry.
Outstanding job - loved the series
I really liked the addition of children in the mix. Nice to have a loving, strong-willed heroine with other responsibilities than herself and a male character that has room - or the capacity to love so deeply there is room enough for them all. Lots of humor and sparks. Unique story line. Sophie Eastlake is a great narrator and kept me stealing away to listen to what comes next!
Oh this is a hard one. I would say that Sophie Eastlake accentuates the wonderful story written by Thea Harrison. They compliment each other so well and they make a great team that provides a wonderful experience (time and again)!
The MOON! You'll just have to listen to the story to get that one. : )
Sophie Eastlake's performance was beyond great! She excelled at the individual accents, inflections and emotions. She truly added another level of enjoyment to an already wonderful book and series. Kudos to Sophie!
YES! I did both! At the beginning of the book we see that Khalil just doesn't understand humans and it creates some very funny interactions between him, Grace and the children.
"That is my tail"..."Now you have discovered one of my eyes. Oh look, you have discovered the other one"...
The wonder and sometimes frustration of stepping in to be a single mother while dealing with loss. The human frustration of trying to survive while taking on the responsibilities of the Oracle. There are so many memorable scenes that really bring out both laughter, hope, happiness and some tears. I have a soft spot for Grace and Khalil.
I really love the world that Thea Harrison has created. I especially love this book as we watch Khalil grow so much as a character and his interactions with Grace and the children are just priceless. Thea has excelled at blending a Sci-Fi world with real world issues and creating a connection to her characters that makes me come back time and again to re-read her stories. I highly recommend this book and her series.
I recommend reading/listening to the series in order as there are things mentioned in this book that are based off of previous books. That and there are a few clues in this book that are for the future.
I love this genre - paranormal romance, urban fantasy, etc. I either own or have read a ton of these, they are fluffy and fun and don't require an English major to enjoy. The Elder Races series by Thea Harrison follows the formula and is surrounded by competitors, but I really recommend these books to anyone who likes fantasy and/or romance in any genre. They should be read in order and are all good, but the 1st and this one, the 4th, are fantastic. Absolute standouts.
Thea Harrison writes some great characters. They have depth and personalities and their own quirks. Oracle's Moon has a great storyline and I went from weeping to laughing out loud and back again. The Narrator does a great job, and stays consistent throughout all four books, giving each character their own "voice" without being so obvious that you lose the story.
Pluck this series out of the competing clamor -- you won't be sorry. I can't wait for the next one. Seems like Ms. Harrison has set herself up a world and a cast of characters that should be good for a long run.
I totally loved this book! Sophie does a wonderful job with the narrations and the story is terrific. I so enjoyed Dragon Bound but was very disappointing with Thea's next 2 books then she did this one and it's super. Takes place right after Serpent's Kiss
I loved the characters! I can see the attraction in both directions and the growth and learning of each. I would absolutely recommend this - I've listened to it several times and enjoy it each time.
The First and fourth book in this series are, in my opinion, the best. I have enjoyed all the books and love Sophie's voice.
Another great story in the Elder Races Series. If you liked the last three books, you won't be disapointed. In my opinion, body sex is still better than mind sex but hey, whos complaining as long as its good, right? :)
