Brandon Mull is one of the best author I have come across and all the books of his that I have listened to are great fablehaven is and book series of his if you like this book series you should give them a try
Heavy Listener wtih a mutlitude of interests. Enjoys Sci-Fi, Science/Tech, Fiction, Christian, and Historical books.
Very entertaining. Listened to first book and couldn't wait to listen to next one. The story has its ups and downs but very interesting and very addictive.
True heroes struggle to overcome their own shortcomings. Brandon Mull's hero's are willing to embrace their weaknesses and do what they can to overcome any problem they encounter. Great read for those looking for a new hero.
After the first wonder of the Beyonders series I eagerly awaited the next book. I was not disappointed. Ever since I read Fablehaven I have been in-tread with Brandon Mull's books. The second book of Beyonders had the same suspense, excitement, and wonderful descriptions as the first. I can't wait to read the next book.
The first book was a complete story. This second book marks the first of a two-part sequel. Both the good and the bad elements of the first book also apply here, save the party becomes more well-defined, and a lot of the threads left hanging from the first book come into focus as the larger story starts to move forward.
Like all fantasies, there's a lot of travel going on. The biggest difference I think is we finally start to get an idea what Rachel's role in the story is going to be, as she was almost superfluous in the first book. The downside is she appears to have swapped roles with Jason, as he appears to be taking the "usless sidekick" role.
I almost set the series down by the time I finished this book. Ultimately I was glad I didn't.
I love reading a book and listening to a book.
I loved this series so much, I'm reading the books after listening to them all on audio book. I'm recommending it to all my friends and family who love fantasy writing. I'm also thinking of adapting it to be a D&D campaign for my daughter and her friends.
I would listen to this novel again, because the story is good but also there are gems of dialogue that inspire.
When Ferrin wonders if he can be trusted. He wonders if he is completely corrupt.
Deliver was clear and enthusiastic without being corny.
When Jason wonders what role he should play and if his work isn't finished. He asks this through out the book and it becomes an internal quest.
Thanks to Brandon Mull for a good read.
A dreamer who loves the adventures hidden in every story!!
Like the first I really enjoyed this installment in the series. While writing the review of this one, I have started on the 3rd and final installment of the Beyonders series. Brandon Mull is a very adapt author. He knows how to cultivate his characters and adequately how to keep the reader interested in the story. This is probably one of the best YA fictions I have read.
