This series was so much fun! I couldn't put it down. Alexia is such a strong female character and her husband is simply dreamy. The love and respect they share is so rare and beautiful to experience. They both know how lucky they are to have found each other. But this book is definitely not all about romance! It is full of action, intrigue, and, of course, proper etiquette and delicious tea. I truly enjoyed the humor too. The narrator, Emily Gray, is also phenomenal! I was hooked to this series! I hope you enjoy it too.
I love this series. It is fabulous down to the last book. It could have gone on forever and I would have loved it. Don't worry though, a booked called Prudence is out now and should be great fun.
By far my favorite series with supernatural incorporations. Simple, witty, and very attention-grabbing. I recommend 100%. This book ends well and wraps up all ends very nicely.
Great book and an awesome reader! I loved every second of this story and enjoyed the narrators talented voice acting!!
24 summers old and love fantasy books. I like being able to drift off into another world.
I couldn't put it down from people dying to changing forms oh my I love it
Even knowing that I was reading a tale of werewolves and vampires in London, believing that a (now) mortal man could survive a fall from a hot air balloon requires more than the usual grace from the reader. However, it is amusing and touching and intriguing enough, that I have made the necessary concessions with happy heart.
The final book in the Parasol Protectorate series, Timeless was probably my second favorite book out of the five. Alexia and her little family have been living with Lord Akeldemar and they’ve all adjusted to the life of adapting to one another as well as dealing with little toddler Prudence who’s metanatural powers allow her to take on the form of a werewolf or vampire if she touches one of their kind.
– a trip to Egypt!
– a corny play starring Ivy Hissellpenny
– babies! And a toddler Prudence who is good at wreaking havoc with her ability to steal the preternatural essence from werewolves and vampires
– secrets and betrayals revealed!
– a murder most foul and an MIA butler
– we get to read from Biffy’s perspective, I loved him!
– a new romance to root for (one of my favorite parts of the book)
– a very old sad looking Queen
– heartwrenching moments!
– more excellent narration, especially loved the narration of little Prudence.
Overall, I definitely recommend the Parasol Protectorate books, especially on audio. They were such a whirlwind of fun that I’ve already snatched up the books in the authors young adult spin off Finishing School series that takes place in the same world.
Love the whole series! Humor, wit, adventure, and decorum expertly balanced for a highly entertaining listening experience. A fabulous series, indeed.
