I've read all the series, really enjoying them. However, I almost put this one down and walked away. It seemed to drag on and on, with stupid dialogue, that I just couldn't get interested in.. I decided to keep listening, after all I used a credit, and by the second half of the book, it seemed to pick up and have a bit of plot to it. By, the end of the book, seems that the series has ended also, which might be a good thing, since this book just didn't make the grade. This book is a kick-off to her new series, so I don't know if I'll try it or not, after listening to this one. At any rate, if you want to go to the new series, you will want to listen to this book, or if you want to see what could have been the possible end to this series, you'll again have to listen to this book. It is better, once you get past the first half.
The Real Housewife of Chicago
The ending was great but the story lacked something compared to the previous books. Still love the books though.
Retired, can't sit still but when I am I have one of 5 Chihuahuas in my lap and I'm reading, crocheting, or sewing even if at a machine!
There are parts that get very explicit but over a GREAT NOVEL!!! I don't really read fantasy much, but I really enjoyed this one!! I think t
Love worth the wait. When you find that special one you know. To brave hell to have her back is what makes it legendary.
I love this series, absolutely love it but I found the narrator's performance awful this time around. All I could hear were wet mouth noises, like he needed to just drink some water or swallow. It was gross and made me hate the pairing of Sienna and Paris. I didn't like the two characters together, I found their relationship forced.
Absolutely! I'm addicted to this series. I'll definitely buy the book and re read it.
The narrator needs to stop making those distracting wet sounds.
I could barely get through it because of the narrator.
It's a great book in an amazing series. But if you don't like sloppy wet sounds while listening definitely buy the paperback version.
Paris is awesome
Paris, he finally got his happily ever after.
Everything, I love his voice
Made me laugh and cry, but that's all of Gena's books.
Gena is a great writer.
It is obvious that the series continues past this book but this story really felt like culmination, several story lines are finalized. For the time being anyway. I have really struggled with liking Paris and Sienna in previous books, and even in the beginning of this one, but their story is really very sweet and incredibly well written. There is plenty of action in this book, in more ways than one. I felt very engaged for the whole story, my interest never wandered. I can't wait for the next installment. I am puzzled by some of the lower ratings and less than glowing reviews, I couldn't feel more differently.
Max Bellmore did a wonderful job in this book, as he does for the entire series.
I believe in true love, happily ever after, magic, and laughter. But mostly I believe in coffee.
I've been waiting to read Paris' story for a long time.
I wasn't sure about Max Bellmore at first but the more I listened the more I felt he became the characters. I will gladly listen to anything he narrates.
Max Ballmore is wonderful at doing the characters and bringing them to life, the emotions as well
Yes he is one of my favorite narrators.
It is an erotic para normal novel series, and this is the first book of the series. I like urban fantasy, and this covers it pretty good. The erotica also is pretty heavy so if you're not looking for that then pass this series by. It will only get more intense as each book progresses. I did enjoy the story and have continued through the entire series. Also there is some very intense and graphic depictions of torture. Each book has something along those lines. After all were dealing with demons.
Say something about yourself!
This book was much easier to put down than any of the others. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't up to par compared to the rest. Most of the previous books, I listened to as straight through as I could. With this one, I've gone days without listening to it and with no real urge to hurry and get back to it.
I'm still looking forward to the next in the series and hope that the storyline goes back to being as good as it has been.
