So much fun to listen to, and it was free! Can't get much better than that!
I haven't read the print version, but always meant to. Anne's narration made it so very special! I laughed, I cried.
Her enthusiasm for the characters really comes through.
Yes. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I laughed AND cried! And was so sorry when it ended.
Most of us know this story, but Ms. Hathaway did a good job of pulling me into the originial story, which is very different from the movie.
Get this audiobook for Anne Hathaway's performance alone. She had voices for each of the characters that made it seem like this was a multi-actor performance. I felt like I was a kid listening to a wonderful bedtime story.
I would recommend this audiobook to a friend because it was very relaxing to listen to while i cooked or did house work.
I liked how Anne Hathaway changed her voice to suit the character. Made you feel like you were there with them.
Yes, Anne Hathaway has a special talent that is perfect for audiobooks. My son has requested to listen to the book all over again after we finished it the first time. He loved her voices for all the different characters, especially the Queen field mouse!
I listened with my 2 children, ages 8 & 9. Anne does an amazing job of doing a wide variety of voices, from Dorothy to the mouse queen to the great wizard himself. I love how my children were able to read along on my kindle fire. The words highlight as Anne reads.
It is just plain fun!
Anne did an excellent job in bringing the characters of this book to life.
I love the Wizard of oz. It is a classic that I never get tired of.
I loved the way she did the voices for the characters. Every character was unique so I think she did an excellent job with that.
This book made me smile and was very nostalgic for me. Hearing it being brought to life made me laugh more than anything. The Wizard of Oz was one of the first books I read as a tween and I still have it.....although it's tattered and torn.
This is the first audio book I have ever listened to so I am going to confess that I was actually biased against them until I listened to this book. I always thought audio books would sound mechanical.....you know like when you have the computer read something to you. This book was a pleasant surprise and it forever changed my opinion on audio books.
