Not so much detail. It really got bogged down in detail and made the entire thing drag on and become very boring, almost painful to listen to.
I have listened to James Patterson in the past and read his books. This is the second one that I think was absolutely horrible and not worth all the time and effort.
It wasn't the performance as much as it was the story. The french accent and words were done well.
Rewrite it by taking out some of the detail or making some of it more action orientated. Pattersons work in general is so action orientated and keeps you kind of in suspense. The only part that wasn't as bad was the very end with Abbie finding out slowly who did what.
I liked the creative story line and the narrotor was good. I thought the first 3 hours of the book dragged on longer than it needed to. It felt like you were getting background information / story for half the book.
Yes - I always enjoy the books and they're a good listen.
The 'ending' was my favorite part
It probably would make a better movie than a book actually.. It would be too violent!
Although the three stars - it still kept my attention which is one of the main goals I have with audio books. I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could.
The performance made it hard to stop listening to the book. I never wanted to turn it off.
January made the characters come alive. Her performance made their terror and suffering come alive.
I loved the smart characters.
Kept my interest all the way through.
Lots of twists and turns
All the characters were great!
Yes, for sure. This book keeps you up at night.
The viewpoint of each character. She has doe a great job changing voices and accents for the each one.
Betrayal by the ones closest.
This book keeps you stressed throughout.
Great book, so glad I didn't try to read it with all of the French translations. I usually don't care for female narrators, but I did like this one. Good story line, kept me guessing.
I am having trouble with this review. This book was really a good story. It was long, and at times, it was hard to listen to because of prison violence and the loss of friends. But, it certainly kept you listening and was different than other James Patterson books I have listened to. Overall, I am glad that I purchased this book and would recommend it to others. A good, packed, well written book.
not one of Patterson's best, but still entertaining
when Abby had the actor by the short hairs in the theater
The intriguing way in which the protagonist finds the truth.
The way it being read in the different intonations.
When she escapes from jail and still has to prove her innocence.
Yes, how could the husbands be so full of revenge.
Definitely James Patterson and any other co writer
All the crazy husbands. They were full of jealousy.
Yes. I would see the movie but not watch a tv series.
