Mean, contemptuous, and nasty as applied to all the husbands.
I really hated the premise...to the point I almost didn't finish the book. It was so well contrived, however, I ended up enjoying the story.
I would listen to this book again with the knowlege of the conclusion. It probably would be interesting knowin what I know now!
The characters are all interesting in an odd sort of way.
January LaVoy was a main reason the book was so interesting. Forgot It was just one reader and just kept to the plot.
I have never been disappointed with any Patterson books. What ever he writes, I will read......
I'm a James Patterson fan, but I have to agree with the readers that have complained about his ghost writing books, although I've even enjoyed many of them.
I have never taken the time to review any of the books I read, but maybe I can save someone from wasting a credit and their time. I had to stop listening to this for days at a time. When things were more boring than this book, I would listen again. It finally got some life at the very end, but it was too late, too short, and too abrupt. It wasn't a thriller at all.
The plot was very shallow...start over.
I thought the reading was pretty good. But it's hard to make a bad book come to life.
The whole first 2/3 of the book.
I'm just very disappointed. This is the first book I've listened to that had no redeeming qualities.
I am an avid mystery/thriller, historical fiction and political fiction listener. I listen while working (I am a remodeling contractor).
READ IT NOW!
Absolutely. Another great driveway book!
Loved the accent and the french translations. Made the book much more enjoyable.
Do you really know the one you're married too?
Tell us about yourself!
they way it was read and the story as a whole
the twist and turns in the book
Just started listening to audiobooks & this was a great way to start. The reader was wonderful and kept the characters alive. The story was good and kept my interest . In fact my plan was to motivate myself to walk by listening to this book. But I enjoyed the book so much that i listened to it at other times as well. The only disappointment was the ending--it was pretty contrived but otherwise it was very enjoyable.
Never. The slowest book I've ever listened to. I should have stopped, but I just kept thinking that something exciting would eventually happen.
The plot was ridiculous.
I wouldn't've this book zero stars if possible.
No, I still love the genre, but I'm finished with James Patterson.
I love audio books. Audible has made my listening experience easy and fulfilling. Gone are the days of library waiting lists and late fees!
Much like all of James Patterson's books, Guilty Wives is a "page turner" our whatever the audio version of the term may be. This novel is more intricate and developed than past works that can seem rushed and predictable. The heroine is a character that the reader wants to cheer on- which for me has been an atypical response given how so many of the leading ladies are punch drunk and pathetic. All and all, Guilty Wives was well worth the credit spent. Bravo JP!
Only the predictability. Too easy to figure out.
I'll read anything by James Patterson. As for the co-author, I don't know, I figured out the story too early on.
They needed another voice, a male, to read the male parts instead of a woman trying to sound like a man.
