This was a wondering book to listen to and serves as a testament to the fact that life is a journey and we all learn one day at a time. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to escape for a few hours a day
No, those who follow my advice would not like it. (Others may love it)
I haven't but really liked her performance.
I would not make one

It wasn't great, it wasn't horrible, it just was. I wanted a book to listen to while I run and it was too depressing to really enjoy or even feel inspired by it. The Narrator sounded much older than the character she was representing and so I felt some disconnect from the story that way too. I'm glad I read/listened to this book but I'm also glad it's behind me so I can move onto something else.
this book definitely boosted my vocabulary. I appreciate that mostly about this read. I was disappointed by the skimpy detail in the love scenes. but it's still worth the read. it's touching
A journey that we can all relate to in its search for inner and outer strength. I felt compelled to miss out on sleep to finish Cheryl's story and inspired to walk my own path with appreciation and liveliness!
I really enjoyed this story of a young woman knowing it was time to center herself and get back on track. It was an inspiring tale and definitely makes you wish you could take a break from life to see if you're strong enough to venture out on your own.
The narrator said winded wrong or at least not as I've heard it said. That's basically my only complaint! I really related to Cheryl so much that at times it was downright eerie. 15 years younger than her but I've had a similar life. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think this might be one of the very few books I'll listen to again!
If you're looking for a book about the PCT this is not it. If you're looking for a book about a feminist (her words) that drone on and on about how terrible her life was and learn detailed account about her mother, her abusive the father, how to shoot a horse, suicide, how abortion is cool just so you can walk a trail and love the F word and non stop other cursing. Talking non stop about how she loves the man that she divorced but just wanted to get a divorce because she wanted to sleep with other men. then this book may be up your alley. At over seven hours into the book she had only been on the trail for 30 days can talk to him very little about the PCT. not suitable for children should be rated R.
