If you are looking for a series to take a break from detail & complex story, then "Green Rider" series is what you are look for. The story starts with a bang, and the author keep its interesting developing the unique world and characters.Story is linear, characters fun and relatable, and environment has just enough uniqueness to differ from other series. World of the Green Rider is a classic, and I would recommend it anyone.
Lets not forget the narrator, Ellen Archer, takes about 10-15mins to get use to her voice, but she does the book justice; an EXCELLENT job done, kudos!
Didn't grab me heart and soul in a way that I'll remember forever like a few rare finds, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. Loved how all the loose ends got tied up, how all the little themes introduced along the way evolved regularly and naturally. I also loved the many similarities with other fantasies that instead of making it run-of-the-mill, simply tied it in with the rest of the genre and made it more imaginable. I'll be reading the sequels.
yes. Listening for me is the best. I do not see well .
Karigan devotions and love for condor
Lots of details
Green Rider is a well loved tale and ranks somewhere near the top for me. This is the first in the series of I think 5 books and is a wonderful introduction to the characters and world Kristen Britain has built.
The moment where Keri meets Frian and begins her adventure, or maybe the "Berry" sisters, or the Wild Ride ... Hmmmm .. maybe the Wild Ride! There are lots of wonderful moments to keep the reader/listener rapt up in the tale.
Ellen Archer is a talented story teller and does a fine job of telling this tale. She is not as smooth as Eloise Oxer but more crisp in her manner of speaking. I think readers will find this quite an enjoyable listening experience with Ellen Archer's narration style.
I'm a greedy listener and have a hard time walking away from a good tale and this is most certainly a wonderful tale indeed! So suffice it to say that yes indeed I wanted to listen to it in just one sitting! :)
Kristen Britain and Ellen Archer do make a winning combination and Green Rider is truly a story that will keep the audience captivated.
I Loved The Reader- she was fantastic! I liked the story also, didn't love it, but I liked it.
The language was very clean- language ratings are important to me and this is one the kids could listen to.
The story moves along quickly and has a good pace, lots of adventure. The main character is likeable, she does all the right things, but leaves wanting her to do it with a little more style and you are constantly waiting for her to make up her mind.
The author does a good job of making sure everything is tied up at the end with just enough intrigue to make you wonder how the second book will start and then evolve. I believe I will get the next book in the series just to listen to the reader- she really is that good.
No. nothing new or exciting. THe story is slow moving and the characters not very compelling. The nartator was good though.
No. But she was very good.
