If you have time and energy, I recommend it. If not, Stephen King has many more to choose from. I'm an avid fan of apocalyptic+zombie movies... the Stand however, wasn't quite there. The details were extremely rich but sometimes felt a bit too much. A for originality, B for excitement.
Yes, definitely! Grover Garner nails the accents and makes the listener forget how long the story actually is.
This book simply has way to much chalky filler. Three sentences when two would be better. And for ever and forever that weaping woman!
After finally finishing this book I just have to commend both the author and the narrator. Grover Gardner did an amazing job. It is by far the best audiobook I've listened to. It was so wary to get caught up in the story even if it is a very complex read at many points. It was not what I expected but I absolutely loved it and the direction the story took after the superflu happened.
narrator was perfect for the book. I think the story was great. it had me on my toes threw out the whole audio book. this is one of the best books on audible. must have for all horror fans and all Americans!
