Awful story line
It was all so irrelevant, I would have rather read a history of forerunners textbook style. I don't care about this one interaction anymore. This book really ruined the entire Halo Saga. I will be very aprehensive before even reading the books again. I didn't even buy Halo 4 the game because this book was so bad, I stopped caring about the entire pantheon of the Halo Saga. Way to ruin my favorite Sci-Fi franchise. Terrible sequel to the first terrible book This trilogy blows.
Good Bye Halo, it was fun while it lasted.
If you are a halo fan. This is all you. Its very slow but you learn so much and if you know how to use your head to think you will see so much in this amazing book.
This is not an action based story more of a history of how it all began type of book. It was still a fantastic story but a little confusing at times requiring more than a few short rewinds here and there to get all the information into my head. I am really looking forwards to the last book in the series to see where it all leads to.
The narrator easily one of the best of the twenty or so audiobooks I've listened to, but it was sadly not enough to save this series so far. After listening to the original Halo trilogy of books and enjoying them, I was extremely impressed with Ghosts of Onyx, and Evolutions, and found pleasure in Contact Harvest as well as Cole Protocol. Each book had pieces of the puzzle and each time I reflected on the story and was content.
Though with this book, as well as it's predecessor, Cruptum, I've felt like it was reaching a bit far. It seemed like a halo book/plot in names only. It was dreadfully boring, as though Microsoft told the author to include certain names and key points, then do whatever else he wanted. Seemingly endless and nearly pointless dialogue as well as overly descriptive events that do next to nothing but to lengthen this short book. I found myself binge listening just to get it over with. This book is one gigantic explanation for things in the halo series, existing solely because there were things that COULD be explained. Please, save yourself the trouble and read a detailed plot summary or spend some time on a wiki.
Just love listing to audiobooks. Some of my favorite authors are Vince Flynn and Brad Thor
So far this year Primordium ranks in the top 5.
It reminds me of all the other Halo books. But this one gives you more of the background store of the Fourrunners.
No I haven't. This is the first one and it was good.
I did get a little choked up towards the end of the book.
