I would definitely recommend this novel to a friend. The author doesn't disappoint. It's well worth the audible price.
The plot definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait till the end to see what was going to happen to Charlie Rosalyn Carter or/and Abigale. I was terrified, in awe, sympathetic, and last suspicious of her, so....Sorry, couldn't help it... I cheated ... I skipped to a few chapters before the ending, because I thought I'd figured out the ending, but I wasn't even close. I immediately went back to where I'd previously left off to continue listening. Even with a bit more insight of the ending, I was still intrigued by each character and how they came to be...so realistic. This novel does not disappoint.
Kirsten Potter made the characters come to life.
There were many. The characters were so real.
Lisa Gardner is a very detailed and realistic author. Catch Me was my first novel by Gardner. I'm so glad I've discovered her. Now, I have to go back and read the rest of the series of Detective Sergeant Dee Dee Wallace.
Although the story line was excellent, I could hardly get past all the profanity. The
Didn't really care for this narrator. Listen to the sample before you purchase.
Fascinating story line for those of us who love police drama! Very well written & exceptional narrator! Can't wait for Lisa's next book!
I am an avid eclectic reader.
This was my first Lisa Gardner book and found it suspenseful and Gardner managed to cover an unpleasant topic that kept one interested without getting depressed. Kirsten Potter was superb in narrating the story. I kept trying to figure out who was the killer and Gardner kept me guessing to near the end of the story. This is a good book to read to just kick back and get away from it all.
Yes. Good story. Love the characters, and as always, Lisa Gardner throws a curve ball on the who done it!! Thank you, Ms. Gardner!!
Lisa Gardner has done it again, just like all the other stories this one will keep you listening. Great job. Kirsten Potter is a awesome DD. Please keep her for DD. Can't wait for more.
I love, love, love the D, D, Warren detective stories from Lisa Gardner. The stories are engaging & complex. The story is told from detective & suspect point of view. There is a story arc for DD's personal life so it does help to read the books in order. But it is not required. I read the second book first & I enjoyed it completely.
D.D. Warren was my favorite character. She is a real woman, crabby, hungry, good at her job.
My favorite character was the suspect.
the climax of the book was particularly moving.
I highly recommend this book.
Love a good mystery, but don't care much for pure thrillers.
This was my first exposure to Lisa Gardner's work. I purchased it on the basis of its high ratings and the description of the plot. I like good mysteries, including good murder mysteries, but I do not like blood and gore. Nothing in the book's description prepared me for the explicit portrayal of the horrors of child abuse, pedophilia, and violence against children. These are topics I know about and know exist but derive no pleasure from reading about. Had I been forewarned, I would not have purchased it.
Secondly, the narrator did not much differentiate the voices of some of the characters, so I had trouble following who was speaking at times.
Bought it to listen to on car trip and I loved every minute! I had never read any of Lisa Gardner's books but went by the reviews on here. It was fun and entertaining, and I found myself not wanting to get out of the car!
It was an interesting story.
No, it was actually pretty predictable.
Finding out about the things the mother did to her kids was horrifying.
I guessed who the perpetrator was early on - but I still enjoyed the story.
