Researcher/oral historian and fitness enthusiast from Austin, TX, currently residing in San Diego. I love to read, but traditional books require a person to be sedentary while reading. Audio books make it possible for me to increase both my physical activity and reading quantity.
One Night of Sin is definitely worth your credit or cash if you like historical romance. Unlike a certain truly horrible and worthless book (hint: the title starts with "50" and ends with a color), this book is sensual and erotic yet romantic, classy, educational, and well written. I've listened to two of Gaelen Foley's books so far and each serves as a superior example of both the historical romance and erotic literature genres. Now I am looking forward to listening and reading my way through all of Foley's historical romance books.
I enjoyed this so much I had to order the others in the series to read on my Kindle. Foley is a good storyteller, creates likeable characters, and maintains a good balance between steamy attraction and an active storyline that keeps the plot moving along. I hope the Knight brother series gets filled in. Providing the reader is good, I would listen to the audiobook even after reading the print version. Masters does a good job.

what i liked about this book was the honesty between the characters. in most of these types of books the authors seem to feel that deceptions on both sides is the way to go to keep the intrigue going and carrying the story to its end when all the truths are revealed all ways with good intent, but not in this novel and it was refreshing. i enjoyed the characters and how the story unfolded. it was a nice listen and the narrator was wonderful.
I totally enjoyed this book. The story was very good. The characters good. The narration was pretty good too. I doubt I would have bought this book but it was on sale for 4.95 and I am glad I did. It is very much worth regular price and or a credit.
The whole thing was so alive and sumptuous! This is a book to lose yourself in and just . . .
Oh my! All I can say is this takes you on a ride of romance and love! One of the best I have listened to so far
Not bad. Plot moved along most of the time. Classic romance writing. Good narrAtor. Good for 4.95. Becky is orphan chattel. Threatened by Russian prince cousin. Hero is a whoring angel rake gambler who wins back her house. Modern attitudes in the 1800s
I have to admit... the book was a bit a slow at the beginning. After about 15 minutes or so, I was like OH MY! This book was so addictive. I just couldn't seem to get enough of it. I was very sad that there wasn't a Book 2. There must be more to Ava and Alex. This is defiantly worth a credit.
This book was ok. It is supposed to be a historical romance. Some of the phrases used by the characters were too modern. I know this is nitpicking but it still caught my attention. Formulaic and ordinary. An ok story, really nothing very special about it.
Pretty good story but I didn't like the modern phrases - they yanked me right out of the listening experience because it was jarring in an historical novel - 'head games' - really? Quite a bit of sex in this one, so if you don't like that sort of thing, pick something else.
The hero gets to be heroic and the heroine is plucky - I liked that.
This was my first novel by this author - I don't believe I'll look for or buy anymore as based on reviews on another site, the language problem is common in her work.
