I am an over the road driver with a lot of drive time. So tend to enjoy longer unabridged versions of books. I also like history and spy or western novels as well.
I wouldn't know I Drive a truck for a living so all of my books are on audio.
yes I would even though I thought this one was sort of rushed. I prefer more story detail and build up in a action story.
I really wanted to love this book. I went into it with very high hope's but I have to admit this one for me fell a little short. I will say this though I'm glad I listened to it before seeing the movie it helped to understand the story line of a very abridged version of the story the film used.
Misled. Thought it was a Clancy series. Wished foe something different from the movie.
Lover of life and lover of books! I read/listen to a wide range (many) but my favorite non fiction are self-help and autobiographies.
I highly recommend this book if you have any interest in what takes place 'behind' the scenes to protect the world from Terrorists. The story unfolds slowly but builds speed ending with emotion and impact.
Great story about the brotherhood of SEALS.
Wonderful! Awesome! Entertaining!
What I really liked most was the attention to detail of the characters. The author took you into the personal lives and minds of the main characters. The book was not just mindless violence and action. You got to learn about these people, how they thought, and a little about their personal lives. This book let you see the people behind the trident.
Roarke Engel was my favorite character. The book focused around him and Dave Nolan.
I was amazed by how quickly the life of Christo, a bad guy, changed. He went from having great wealth and power to losing it all in a matter of moments. He never saw it coming. And, it was the result of one bad decision, supporting his terrorist friend.
The naration by Steven Weber is superb! He really makes the book come alive. This audiobook is extremely well written and narated. It is a rollercoaster ride which keeps the reader's attention from beginning to end. I highly recommend it!
I have already listened to it twice and will listen again to pick up the small points.
I am a veteran Army officer so it was interesting the difference between my service and where the troops are today.
He kept the action moving
I had seen the movie and this moved me to read the book. I enjoyed the book as much as the movie. A good read.
Yes, the story line is actual and gives you an insite into the lives of the characters and their families, along with the constraints placed on them during deployments
I found the plot to be at a good pace and the Intrigue was at a good level
This was the first time will not be the last great preformance
With a son in the service it did hit home at certian levels
Exciting. Edge of the chair.
The nightmare Roark had.
Nope. Never heard of him before this book.
The moment of rescue.
I've only read half so far and I hope the rest is just as suspensful.
sure, an enjoyable listen. I like military / human stories & this is a good one
characters well done
must have been good as I don't remember not being bugged by it
how he made the men come to life when he read it
the movie was also great
