The story and Shanelle's voice - it is so good listen her voice! Really!
How Jennifer became famous, and how changing habits changes our life!
As I sad before, it is PERFECT!!!
I was curious to know more and more... I identify myself in some history parts.
Listen it! Listen it! Listen it!
I cannot even get into this book far enough to rate it fairly. The poor narration simply overwhelms everything to the point where I'm not even listening to the story (ex. the repeated pronunciation of the word "ask" as "axe"). Hopefully I can find a decent hard copy of the book and give it a fair shake by reading it for myself.
The best audience for this recording are probably other Weight Watchers (WW) members. Unlike some other reviewers who disliked the last third portion, I personally didn't mind, where yes, it does describe the WW program. Since I enjoy reading weight loss "Success Stories" from time to time, I was probably their target audience. For people not inclined for such topics, I think this recording could be annoying for them.
This book told me little to nothing about Jennifer Hudson's life outside of her Weight Watchers experience. I would have liked to have know more about her life and the events that shaped who she is as a person. I was also hoping to learn how she coped with her family tragedy. Even if this book was all about her weight I would think that the murders were worth a mention.
No. This is clearly a Weight Watchers commercial, not an autobiography. I would still listen to other books in this category.
The narrator's constant pronunciation of the word "ask" as "axe" was beyond annoying.
It was unnecessary to include the details of the weight loss journey of her relatives. Also, there were various sidebars that were really instructions on how Weight Watchers works that had nothing to do with Jennifer as a person.
It is OK, It was just her life story
Jennifer Hudson, she was able to get control of her eating
She sounded like Jennifer Hudson
Maybe in 10 years, just to let people how she is doing with the WW program.
Yes, I would. Jennifer Hudson will make you want to be as determined to loose and maintain weight as she is.
When Jennifer talked about still being the same person she was before losing weight.
Yes, if I had the time.
Overall all I thought this was a good book. She does go on a little too much about what she eats. I am sorry but there is no way that some cashews and an apple tastes just like a caramel apple. Now it might be a great substitute if you aren't really having a serious craving but in my weight loss efforts I found it best to just eat what you are really craving only have a small one or half a piece not 5. :)
At the top of my motivational and inspriation audiobooks, and believe me I have a few that I listen to when I'm feeling down and uninspired.
Jennifer of course. I did not realize the strength of her faith and tenacity. By some she may have seemed bull headed, but to me she was very determined and strong in her faith, she new God had a plan that would change her life and give her all the things she deserved. Also, her trainer when she joined Weight Watchers. You always need a positive force when you are embarking on a life change. Without this positive reinforcement she would have made it, but not as fast and not without backsliding. You go girl. You definitely had this.
When asked on the Red Carpet about being a big girl. I'm probably not saying it correctly, but her response was on point. Not the way I would have handled it, but then that why she is Jennifer and I'm me.
How she dealt with the disappointments and the terrible loss of her family.
Look at her now. As she says, I Got This, and so can we.
