I think all Americans need to read this book. very few of us understand what isgoing on in the middle east nor the sacrifices being made by our servicemen and women and their families. while not everyone would make the same decisions as Chris kyle, it is a revealing and honest look at his life. I didn't love the reading but it wasn't enough to truly detract from the book.
I don't really see the point in writing this as a
book. I'll watch the movie and hope that the story is more coherent on the screen.
I loved the movie but loved the book even more. My husband is an assault-man in the Marine Corps. I found it very interesting how Chris Kyle and his wife dealt with his deployments. I really liked Chris' opinions about life and attitude. I wish more people were down to earth like him.
I enjoyed the honesty and integrity he had and I agree if you are going to send a man over to defend our country and his life is on the line he should be able to decide if he needs to shoot moths ROE from someone sitting over here in his reconditioned house with several bodyguards protecting him. let them do there job if people could see the way they kill our civilian as in beheadings they don't just whack off their heads they take about 20 min.sawing there heads off to inflict maximum torture.
This book is nothing fancy. It's just a story coming from a real American. On many levels, I could relate to his trials and combat experience. I have not seen the movie but judging from the reviews this book far exceeded my expectations.
