Molly Harper has an odd sense of humor that makes me giggle from the beginning of her books until the end. This was no exception.
The lead character. She has amazingly bad luck. It is fun to watch her figure her way around her problems. She isn't always successful, but it is a fun read.
Ms. Ronconi is adept at reading such sarcastic humor in just the right way. I cannot imagine anyone else reading books by Ms. Harper. They are a perfect fit!
I certainly finished the book in one day, but not all at one time. It was a great book to read while I packed up my house for moving. It made my move seem much less daunting!
I wish the book had been longer. The plot line fleshed-out a bit more. For instance, why was the boyfriend so unwilling to break up with our main character? But that is just me. The longer a book, the better I like it. I hope that there are follow-up books to this one. I'd love to see what other dilemmas the main character can encounter! Thanks for another fun listen.
I am a hopeless bibliophile and audiobooks are perfect for me. I get to read and keep my hands free. Perfect for a busy mom/ nurse.
I have enjoyed all of Molly Harpers stories. I wish there were more installments. The combination of her writing told in Amanda Ronconis voice is always a winner. Molly has a sense of humor that I truly enjoy, but I look for everything I can find narrated by Amanda.
I loved when characters that I already know and love were seamlessly woven into the plot.
Made me feel like it was a story that could stand alone, but also like sitting around with friends hearing stories they haven't told yet.
The vivid character descriptions bring you right into their world. I never find myself questioning the details, just laughing at the character quirks.
From unlucky to loved, it was a rocky road.
This book made me laugh so many times. There were times I was laughing so much I had to pause the audio. The narrater is awsome. I have listened to this book 4 times and will keep on listening to it in the future. A good listen if you are feeling down.
I lisened to this book with my mum on a 7,5 hour long drive. The book was finished long before the drive. We enjoyed it, and laughted good several times. We have both gone through several Molly Harper vampire books before, so we knew what to expect.
I liked the motells.
meeting the fiance after the road trip
I really love Molly Harper books on audio. They are always fun and make me laugh out loud, and this one was no exception. The narrator is wonderful!
Funny & sexy story.
Yes, another good performance by her.
Wish the story was a little longer...enjoyed it greatly...another recommendable book.
I am an artist who paints romantic landscapes in soft pastels.
Loved it!! Very funny. Loved the characters. Terrific storyline. Be prepared to laugh out loud!
I am a Molly Harper fan. The 'Nice Girls' Series was the first I read/heard on Audible. So, I had big expectations for this book. That said, it did not disappoint, but it's not 'Nice Gilrs' either. If you are a fan, then definately go for this book. Narrator is perfect, as always. Story is new but incorporates some of your favorites, which is neato. If you've never read Molly Harper, start with 'Nice Girls' and then get to this one...
Favorite quote: "Labels are for cans not people"(by Unknown) Jim Dale is my favorite Narrator of all time. His version of HP was my first Audio-book experience! Mostly listen to Mystery, Thriller, Sci-Fi - Fantasy, and Romance.
Yes, probably serveral more times. It is a great and humerous travel story.
The car accident and the aftermath.
The sarcasm would have never been so humerous in my own reading experience.
Sarcasm and proper manners have never been so entertaining.
This is the book that got me hooked to all of the authors books!
hot crafty goodness
I recommend listening to this in private...because you will laugh and snort out loud! Well performed by Amanda Ronconi, truly meshed with the voice of Miranda Puckett. The sincerity of Miranda 'Jinx' Puckett's tenacity in face of incredible missteps and mishaps juxtaposed nicely with the OCD to the extreme Vampire.
I loved the snappy voice of Miranda, her earthiness at the heart of her chaotic life, and how that heart melts the icey, anal-retentiveness of Colin, a true descendant of Mr. Darcy himself...eventually charmed by his less than perfect companion. Love the down to earth humor Molly Harper's characters all have. She truly gets the inner workings of "interesting" women everywhere.
I adored how Miranda summarized the whole disastrous trip to one of our favorite rogue vamps.
Laughed so hard I snorted...which is why I was listening to this at home.
I want this story developed into a full novel, more adventures with Miranda and Colin, it ended too quickly!
