QUESTION : DOES LISTENING TO AUDIO BOOKS MAKE YOU SMARTER? If so, I'm. Freakin Genius!
Richelle Mead, is hands down, one of the best Fantasy Authors there is. Her stories are
rich with interesting characters, great adventures , with just the right amount of conflicts, twist and turns that make the the reader anxious for the next book to come out.
Sadly, this will be the last book in the Dark Swan series.
One of the the many signs of a true artist is that even though she could have written a few more books in the Dark Swan series, she choose to keep up with her vision, and stick with the four books, she knew she needed to tell her story.
That shows her desire for a Good story means more to her money.
Bravo, Ms. Mead
I can't wait for your next series. Sure I love a good YA book once in awhile, but your adult books are the Best!@
PLEASE WRITE A 5th BOOK!!!!! I adore Eugenie & Dorian & it can't be left with her not telling him & robbing them of the joy they deserve. The fox & his evil queen can't be the victors
I enjoyed the book until the ending. The ending (which is the series finale) was left with more questions. I felt cheated as I became invested with the the main characters.
Please explain to me how someone who has the iron crown can be ran over like this?!?! The beginning, middle & ESPECIALLY the ending didn't make sense because we all know she has the ability to take away the authority, control, and strength of those who threaten her. So if she wouldn't protect herself or her lands, I refuse to believe she wouldn't use it to eliminate any and all threats to her children. And the ending is supposed to make her sound independent and powerful but it just makes her sound selfish, cowardly, and weak.
the author didnt bother to end this seried and left questions about what will happen. I wouldn't recommend this book or this series or thud author based on how she ended this book. dont start something your not going to finish.
beware fellow audies.
I love the shadow heir books and would preorder if she added a book or started new books on the twins or other books taking place in the same world.
I am not sure I have just one favorite. I really disliked one of the characters but you are ment to like him then grow to dislike him.
I really don't want to give anything away. The world in the book is beautiful. I would love to see art work on it.
I picked the books up a few years ago and never got it out of my head so I went looking to see if a new set of books came out yet. Nothing yet but I have not given up hope that some day more will come out. If not I will have to come up with something on my own that will never be seen by any eyes other then mine. My writing skills are horrific and terrifying.
It just didn't make me feel good at the end. Did not feel like there really was an ending.
A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies… The man who never reads lives only one. ~George R.R. Martin
I when thought the whole 4 books on the series, and was greatly disappointing with the ending, Richelle Mead could have done a way better job on the ending. also her plot was weak.
I loved the whole series but the ending to this book is horrible, because of this I'm not sure I would.
All the characters are good.
I love her and have a lot of books done by her.
Not with this ending
Richelle Mead needs to do one more book to this series and end it much better. As you can see by all the comments people don't like bad endings. It would behoove authors to look at what their readers have written for the sake of future sales.
Yes to Richelle Mead, no To Jennifer Van Dyck. Well, maybe just not reading that type of book.
I'd compare it to Ink Exchange because it's about fairies. It's the closest I can think of.
I know this may sound strange, but her voice didn't fit the story. She made the main character sound so much older than she was supposed to. It didn't feel right.
I wouldn't have cut any scenes, I don't think. It was more that I didn't like the plot twists, the way the conflicts were resolved, and the way the story ended without feeling like it was over.
Well, like I said, I didn't like the direction the story was going. If you had read the first two books, you'd have to admit, she kind of threw things at us out of nowhere. I don't want to give anything away, but it wasn't my favorite book of hers, and Richelle Mead is one of my most favorite authors in the world. If you ever read her Succubus series, you'd know what I meant. The way Succubus Revealed ended, there were no loose ends. The way this book ended would only make sense to me if She was planning a spin-off book, or writing another book in the Dark Swan series. Overall, I think you should draw you own conclusions.
