I have not read a bad book in a long time but this one was BAD and BORING. Glad it was only 7 hours long. In between each chapter the pause was so long I thought my Ipod had shut off. Don't waste your time with this one.
that the main character didn't whine throughout the whole book.
the perofrmance was good. the reader was excellant. he just didn't have a lot to work with.
the main character whining over his lost love and what he was going to do to get out of the mess he was in.
it just didn't flow well.
Grandma bibliophile! Audible books make reading with an active life possible.
I would absolutely listen again. This was a good listen, just for entertainment. Second, as I age I listen to a lot of things a second time, CRS has set in or I've nodded off during the book and haven't noticed. (snicker) What a joy!
I don't listen to books like this as
Audible has some great narrators, and Scott Shepherd did a great job with this one. The characters were distinctive, and the inflections were good. None of the monotone - thank God. That'll kill a good story in a heartbeat.
I think I actually did listen to this book in a couple of days - twice. One of those stories that between the story and narrator I was just in it, telling the grandson's to shush more than once. Usually I cut it off, talk to them , then turn it back on. Made babysitting a more difficult job. Hate that, usually! (sardonic smile) This time I tried to turn the grandkids off, that just doesn't work as well, they win; so I had to
The entire book seems like it was plotted to sell copies, but misses spectacular by a very long stretch. However, I didn't hate it. After I listened to this book, I felt the way one does after watching a made for TV movie. It shouldn't make any best seller list, but you don't feel entirely cheated either, just so so. Sorry, I am a big Patterson fan, and I like the narrator, but the story seemed like a hodge podge of material that can be a great thriller without you caring too much about any character.
I buy a lot of audible books to listen to and use the reader reviews. I did like and enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to others as well
Very suspenseful! I was excited to find a book that wasn't ho-hum and that was very intriguing.
Patterson.Paetro put out another enjoyable adventure.
I am looking forward to their next escapade
Scott Shepherd is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators.
The author(s) keeps repeating himself and summarizing, as if you are just joining the story without having read the previous chapters. Meanwhile, the narrator uses the same monotone voice for all the characters.
Reading has always been my guilty pleasure. I would take stacks of books from the library. Now I listen to Audible.
The first book in the series was good. I really enjoyed this one. It had a lot more depth to it.
it didn't flow..too disjointed
not Patterson, although he's always been one of my favorite reads.
lead @ Private, it was his story, but it got too complicated with the 3 or 4 other sub-story
About half of the extraneous ones
