Sorry all, I wrote a review for the 1st private and thought I was writing it for this one. I loved this one. It was funny and entertaining...to bad Private (1) wasn't as good as this one.
I bought to listen in my car during my commute to and from work. It made my long commute tolerable.
Jack Morgan. Even with his success and money, he still has morals. He is a very likable guy even with some of his flaws.
He made the book more enjoyable, as if I'm actually watching the story instead of just listening to it.
The only critique I have is the book seemed to have ended abruptly. Maybe there's another book in store but I wished there were more follow up to Jack's and Justine's relationship. They really complement one another...and I'm a sucker for happy endings.
It was very entertaining, the sub-plots were interesting enough to get you involved
Yes, lots of action and character development was good
good character development and the plot line was not predictable.
After listening to the 1st book in this series, which I found disappointing, I was surprised to find this one had more substance. Still had too many plot lines going on at once, but this time each one was better developed than in the pilot. Not as well done in jumping back and forth between plot lines as it could have been. Narration was good, with appropriate feeling. Will listen to more of these to see if they continue to improve.
it was a good listen. typical of the james patterson, lots of short chapters and a few different story lines. i like jack morgan's character.
The story moved along and kept you engaged.
I think it falls along the same line as many of Patterson's work includeing, the Alex Cross series.
While the read was strong I read the read the 1st and 2nd book back to back and having different readers took some getting use to.
When being the best may not be enough.
At some point I may give it another whirl since I did like the first book in the series, but I'll have to give it another few months. Maybe when the inevitable next book in the series appears... It was a lot like the cliffhangers that let you know the serial continues next week or next season--unresolved personal and family issues that can be used to lead into another story.
i love mysteries and thrillers. When i review, i tell it like it is. i'm single, and love erotica.
i couldn't get in to the story, and the naration was terrible.
not sure at this point
narator replaced with someone who can do an authentic Irish accent, also someone who doesn't sound like he is straining himself.
Extreme Thrill Ride
Jack Morgan is the perfect protaganist because he is not perfect, he makes mistakes in his personal life but he is the best in the world at what he does.
Scott Shepherd is a great narrattor . Sometimes I forgot that only one person was reading.
Finding out about Colleen.
Mr. Patterson, I would love to read A Private/Mike Bennett mashup novel. Could we get one of those?
