I was disappointed in the length and breadth of this book. Interesting idea posed but no real research or devotion to topic. I felt like this was the first chapter of a great book. In fact, I looked up the book on the internet to determine how many pages it had because I felt like I had been given just a synopsis of the book instead of the entire thing. I was about to return it to Audible.
Why more people have not heard of Andy Andrews is beyond me. He always succeeds in combining a thought provoking message with entertaining delivery.
This book is all about political locus of control, which I appreciate after the horror of our most recent election.
How Do You Kill Eleven Million People is an uncomfortable but honest book about lies from people in positions of power and how history has shown over and over again that apathy and complacency lead to the end of civilizations.
Andy Andrews encourages people to get engaged, fact-check those in positions of power, remain vigilant of elected officials, and only allow yourself to be "led" by people with integrity. It's not your job to blindly follow, he explains, but it is your job to scrutinize those "leaders" who may be lying to accomplish their own selfish and unethical agendas.
Andy doesn't disappoint in the information provided, except this "book" is more of a White Paper with a brief Q & A at the end.....and thats it. I was looking forward to a book with more than 2 chapters. That was the disappointing part.
I no longer feel inadequate or helpless in my up coming elections. I feel I now have tools to help me make decisions if I am willing to do my own inquiries.
There is not enough room to contain the words that I would like to say. Having heard Mr. Andrews speak on two occasions, hearing the story of his life, what life dealt him, and how he dealt with life was inspirational beyond words! Therefore, when I first read the title of this book it seemed opposite of everything I had thought of Mr. Andrews. That is, until I listened to him read this book. If it were in my power to do so, I would make this book required reading at the fourth grade level and then again in junior and senior high school's. If I owned a corporation, I would freely distribute it to each and everyone of my employees. And you can weld believe, being involved in network marketing, Thank you very much Mr. Andrews; you are so very greatly appreciated!
I would listen to this book again: thought-provoking on many fronts. Andy Andrews inspires and empowers.
In these days of the twisting of truth to be whatever you want it to be and discarding TRUTH to the god of the politically correct it is refreshing to see someone still sharing the truth!!
This was a great work, worth all the tears that have been shed, Lest We Forget, we must hang on to the truth!!
