excellent would want this story to keep going! oak knoll series are my favorite books, hoping there are more.
I have just finished the third book in the Oak Knoll series .... She is an incredible writer !!! I could hardly break away to go to work !! Prior to these three books, I had never read anything by Tami Hoag..Now, I'm about to select another! She so develops her characters that you become attached to them and wonder how they are ... Even after the book is over !!! I hope there will be more to come in the Oak Knoll series !!! Thank you , Tsmi, for so much suspense and enjoyment !!
I truly enjoyed this recording. This was the third book in a series and I have enjoyed all three of them. Tami Hoag just keeps improving with age. I hated for this story to end. Bring on some more Ms Hoag.
I absolutely loved it! The narrator was amazing in being able to express the different characters and there emotions. She really made it easy to feel apart of what was going on. Kept me locked in from page one. The story line was great and I loved the ending.
This is a moving,. complex story. It is told from point of views of mother and sister of young girl who goes missing at age 16 years. Years. pass and while police have person of interest no proof can be found. How does that impact mother, father, sister, and police who are trying to find out what happened? Meanwhile what is happening with kidnapper who remains free to torture survivors and seek more victims? This is a disturbing,
moving story that is full of tension and despair. I found it hard to pause my read of this novel. I love author's vivid, complex characters. Hope there will be other Oak Knoll novels.
Not as good as the other Oak Knoll books. I was hoping for a mystery, but this isn't really a whodunit. You know from the beginning who the bad guy is so there's not much suspense or excitement. There is some interesting character development but not much on the part of the main characters from the Oak Knoll series so that was a little disappointing.
I don't know about you, but why are there so so so many 5 star reviews. I LOVE books, but so few are 5 star.
Publisher's summary is a little misleading, in the way that news teasers are.
I listened to the 3 Oak Knoll series because the first one was okay and I was curious. The story is good, but I wasn't really all that entertained. I listened to it because I want to see how she was going to wrap it up. It was as expected and a little disappointing.
Really a 2 and a half.
I like mysteries, suspense and thrillers. Occasionally I will listen to some scifi or fantasy.
The authors writing style.
There are lots of them.
I thought she did great! Laurens voice reflected exactly how I pictured her character being.
No, I only listen while commuting.
I read several of the reviews before I bought this book. I have to say that I disagree that people were disappointed that it wasn't as good as the others in the Oak Knoll series. I found the book to be just as intense as the others and the characters and plots certainly had a few twists. I thought it brought out well how justice isn't always what we would like it to be.
